I like that the masks are made in the USA but there is still a chemical smell when you first put them on.

We've heard this rarely, but every once in awhile we've scratched our heads about this observation. It just occurred to me that the world has other people like me that are "super smellers." What you are smelling is not a chemical smell, but residual odor from the ozone created during the 20 minute disinfection cycle that occurs every night at 2 am in our cleanroom, where your masks were made. The material for the next day lives there as well. The UV disinfectant system uses light and lamps that create ozone in the air, which has a distinct smell that dissipates (according to the normal ones among us). But I can still smell it the next day. Nobody else can. Welcome to the team. -Jeremy
