Lumen provided Internet and VOIP services to my business for years. In September, they charged me $654.58 for a bill that normally runs around $300. When I called to inquire about it, they said that they sent an email to my gmail account (rather than my business email) in July telling me that they would not be providing Internet services to me starting in November. I didn’t see the email because it was buried with all the other junk email I get on gmail. They claim they charged me an additional $325 because I called customer support (the only call I made was asking them why the internet they provided was so slow). I guess they charge you $325 every time you need support. Even after I cancelled the service, they informed me that I will still be charged for another 30 days of service, even though their equipment is sitting in a box. Spectrum Business is providing much faster Internet services and a phone for a third of what Lumen was charging. Lumen is failing so they are trying to get existing customers to sign up for more expensive services and tossing aside those that don’t want to migrate to whatever AI-driven BS they are offering. STAY AWAY FROM LUMEN TECHNOLOGIES.
