When you think of a credit union you usually think of a local bank that cares about you. Not LMCU! I would not recommend ever getting a mortgage loan with them.

I'm contemplating switching banks. The support is AWFUL! LONG HOLD TIMES and nobody knows how anything works there! It's probably one of the most frustrating credit unions around. I went with them 20 years ago because they were small and local. Now they're just awful!

Awful experience. A complete waste of a month.Ups and downs and no then at the last minute denied the auto loan. Save yourself the headache.

I do not recommend using this bank at all! It has been HELL trying to get my mom access to her account. We moved from MI to TX and unfortunately my mom is an elder who is transitioning through dementia and is losing her memory. She can’t remember her log in credentials and every time we try getting help they are getting smart and saying I can’t talk in the background even though she’s giving permission for me to help her! I am working on getting power of attorney so I can handle everything for her but there’s a wait period for anything that has to do with helping seniors! We did the virtual meeting with this bank to help her get access to her online banking and because her drivers license didn’t have my new Tx address on it they wouldn’t help her. Mind you I’m steady telling them I can’t just switch her Id over! I have to get mail sent here and prove she has residence here before she can get a Texas id. Lastly I just found out because she doesn’t have a vehicle we have to get proof of that first too. Again it’s a process no matter what I have talked to different reps and each one acts like they hate their job and can’t help a senior citizen out who isn’t tech savvy! I can’t wait until she is able to completely be done with this credit union. Soon as her loan is paid off we are done!!!!!!!! I almost opened my business account with them because my mom has been with them for over 30yrs but I’m glad they showed how they do business! I have never ever had this much issues with navy federal. And trust me I have had to go through a lot when it comes to my business accounts, but nothing like this! If you are a senior citizen do not bank with them because they talk to you crazy when you can’t hear or understand correctly and you try telling them you have assistance and now they wanna catch attitudes as if you aren’t the one calling for help. If yall don’t like your job just find another one please!!!!!!!!!

Branch in Traverse City.... especially Kayla Fitzgerald, helped me through the traumatic experience of being hacked with great tact,patience, and thoroughness. It is not an easy process but she made sure that we crossed every t and dotted every I for my protection. I have been a member for several years and appreciate their "Shredder Day" too. Kayla was so helpful! Thanks to GLCU, I am back on track.

The support staff are not well trained on how the system details work and have to research on the computer for most questions. Even the customer support phone number person couldn’t answer what I thought to be basic questions. She even blamed me for putting in the wrong information.

Do not trust LMCU to know what they are doing when qualifying buyers for loan products. They are dishonest and unprofessional! When a lender approves a buyer for conventional loan then week of close date switch to MSHDA without seller being notified, then ask for extension #3, then 3 weeks later says The buyer doesn't qualify for MSHDA ? Like what the actual *****. What a scam! Buyers do not walk, run far from LMCU.

I have always had excellent and friendly service whenever I have done any business with the LMCU located in Rochester Hills, MI. I met with Poyni last week. She was very kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to offer me assistance. I highly recommend this credit union.
