System is unstable. Our settings go away after awhile for no apparent reason. And this happens repeatedly. I ask for a password reset which never comes to my email. Phone hold times with Line2 are an hour long, and sometimes they just tell you no one is available and you can’t even hold.
Response from Line2Jul 26, 2023
Hello Lisa - Thank you for sharing your feedback and leaving a review. Regarding the password reset issues, you have encountered. We are working to make our login and password reset process more simplistic. If you do not receive the email, it may be related to formatting your phone number on the password reset page. The current formatting on our webpage shows an example below, "Enter your phone number and extension in this format: 18880123011x1". You will only receive the email if the formatting is correct. Our engineering teams will change the formatting guidelines within the next few months to drive a better customer experience. We're sorry you encountered longer than standard hold times when contacting us by phone. You may have tried to contact us when we were hosting mandatory compliance training for our teams which was for one hour earlier this summer.

Worst customer service Called to restore a line , the employee told me it was gonna cost $15 and another $8 for an upgrade so I can have another extension. Notified me that I was gonna get charged twice which was ok with me , everything was fine until I hung up the phone and got charged another $20. I called them back and like always I was on hold for about 15/20 minutes while I was emailing them . I’ve got a response by email stating that I was legitimately charged for everything and for me to look at my billing in the app , but when I looked at it it was written that I was charged for two lines at $17.95 ,for each line which equal to $36 and what was still less than what they charged me. Finally the rep picked the phone up and tried to explain to me that all the charges were legitimate and he listened to the whole conversation was recorded to what I replied that if you were listening the previous rep specifically told me I was only getting charged twice $15 and $8 because if she would tell me I was getting charged $20 more I wouldn’t authorize it. After every question the rep kept putting me on hold for 5 minutes. Long story short I spent about 2 hours on the phone with all these people just to partially cancel the two line thing . Be careful when you deal with these guys Over all the app works ok I been with them for about 5 years it’s just they always lie to get more money out of you which I do not like Ps i haven’t gotten my refund yet

Hello Ms-M Gal - Thank you for leaving your review. To understand your issue and validate your experience, as you used a pseudonym, we have asked for your name, email, and account details (Line2 phone number) through the Trustpilot request for more information. This information, if provided, is sent to us privately. In doing so, we could locate your account and any contact records in our support department. All Trustpilot reviews are reviewed and, if needed, investigated so that we may ensure our team members are meeting our service standards. While you may have established an account with us, we cannot validate or substantiate your claims. You still have the option to provide this information so we can accurately address your experience as you have written it.

I can't log in even though I have the correct information. When I log in it says the page isn't working. I try adding numbers and users and get error messages every time.

I tried purchased Line2 as I travel often for work and I wanted to find a better solution. Well, the website says the charge is 15.99- I was charged $19.32. Not just that though- as soon as I was charged, the website kicked me off and said there was 'an issue processing payment'. But there was no issue on my end- I was already charge. Now I don't have access to what I paid for and I'm going to waste an entire day or more waiting for them to fix this while I figure out what I'm supposed to do in the meantime. ***EDIT: Since I'm unable to add additional information, I'll just add it here. Line2 disputed this review, so I uploaded the necessary documents to prove my 'case', This is not the first time this has happened. My partner had an entire weeklong back and forth with Line2 a few months ago about payment being processed through the app store, but not in their system, so he was denied access to his number. In the end he gave up and moved on- I have those receipts too. Look, if you're going to take customers' money, provide them with what they paid for. It shouldn't always be an issue. You have an entire FAQ section on your website about payment issues and how to troubleshoot them, and to be frank, that advice is useless. Maybe it's time to reorganize some things? Take responsibilty? I'm done with Line2 and will provide whatever receipts needed to keep my review up. People should be aware of the headache they're in for. UPDATE: Look, I appreciate the customer service HERE, but I already went through this proccess with Line2 prior to this review. I'm happy to send you info, but I already spoke with Line2 support twice and both times was told there's nothing they can do. I will likely have to file a dispute with my bank about the transaction because it STLL has not been paid back to my account. I just have to wait two weeks after the original transaction. I'm calling you out here becuase all of this customer service support you're giving now is not what you gave to me privately. Either have good customer service at all times, or expect to be called out on public forums when you offer poor customer service.

Our goal in doing this is to assist customers and provide the best possible customer experience and outcome, including a call from our leadership team to discuss further. When signing up on our website, we clearly outline the monthly subscription amount + taxes and fees. This would account for the additional cost above the monthly subscription cost. The choice to use Line2 was due to having a PC app to use the phone service. While smartphones are all the rage, I am most proficient on a PC. Other phone apps only work on a mobile devise with only having web access to manage your account. Here is where the problem started. The sales rep assured me that they offer a PC app to use the service. I signed up and was ecstatic to do so. However, after starting the service, the PC app would not install. I contacted support and was directed to use the mobile app as the only option. I was furious. The whole reason signing up for the service was completely negated. I believed the tech support rep seemed incompetent what was later proved correct. I requested tier 2 support or a supervisor. It took a few days to a week to finally get tier 2 support. This was also due to calling back in a couple times to get another tech support rep. Once the tier 2 support rep and I were able to work together the issue took about a week to resolve. This issue was only resolved after installing an outdated PC app, but at least it worked-ish. Here is where the crazy starts to happen. Now that I think the service will work, I thought it was safe to port my phone number into Line2. It was not. Now they have my number that was ported in, the line I started with, and the 800 # for my insurance business - 3 numbers total. I called into support for help. I was logged into the PC app and needed to use the line that was use ported in. I could not find it. This issue finally revealed itself.... What was left out when discussing the PC app was that you can only use 1 of the 3 numbers at a time. There is no way to switch between them. It was advised the only way is to log out of 1 line and log into the other. Running an insurance agency, you will get calls on different lines and need to be able to answer those calls. I was directed back to the mobile app. I called the same tier 2 rep back. I thought the frontline support rep, who were normally a little incompetent, was just... misinformed. The tier 2 rep actually said that this wsa embarrassing to have to say that I would actually need to log out of 1 number to use the others at any time. Any call that comes in on a line I am not logged into will just go to vm. That does not work.

i just saw an email that got about how line2 basically called me a liar and fought my review. It was taken down because I just saw the email. Line2 knows that many may miss an email, so I'm sure that there are more reviews out there with complaints about their scam like services. Here's part of why they took down my compliant in the email. Hi Caught Praising YAHUSHA, line2.com recently flagged your review because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience. Unfortunately, you didn’t provide more details, so your review has been taken down. LINE2, Why would I waste my time telling people that your rep did very little in trying to help me. With her lack of empathy and failure to respond efficiently; instead of Line2 bettering themselves, they call you a liar instead when you tell the truth about their lack of line service.

Thank you for providing the additional details about your interaction with our support team. We did locate the call with our support representative. Your original Trustpilot review read, "Paid for my bill three times and still can't access my number." The review was subsequently removed as you needed to provide the supporting information requested. On the call we located, you stated you had not received calls for three months and heard a busy signal. You asked to find out what was happening or if you could get a refund. We advised you that your account was inactive and to contact your 3rd party biller, iTunes, regarding a refund, as we have yet to receive those payments. We then suggested switching over to direct billing. To do so, we sent a one-time verification code to your email. Unfortunately, after multiple attempts, you did not receive the verification code sent to the email address on file, and we could not proceed with setting up direct billing. You mentioned you had to pay for additional email storage, which may be why you have not received the verification code email. Our representative closed the call advising you to contact us should you receive the verification code to proceed with direct billing. The call was handled politely and professionally. You even stated at the end of the call that you appreciated our help. Unfortunately, we could not assist you further due to third-party billing guidelines and security protocols. We understand this may have created a frustrating situation; however, these guidelines are standard across the industry. We would happily allow you to listen to the call again to recall better what occurred that day and/or assist you with reestablishing your Line2 phone number. We will send you this communication through your original case should you want to discuss this further. Thank you for allowing our management team to address your concerns and ensure our support team handled your issue appropriately. The Line2 Management Team ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Caught Praising YAHUSHA - Thank you for your review. We take customer feedback seriously and want to address all our customer's concerns. As you wrote a Trustpilot review using a pseudonym and not your real name, we asked for your account details which would have been transmitted non-publicly. Upon receiving this information, we could locate your case(s) and contact history to determine our team's actions and if we could have provided a better service experience. From there, we would have contacted you to follow up, including a public reply. We care more than most companies and take public and private feedback seriously enough to address all substantiated complaints. As a matter of fairness, Trustpilot allows the removal of reviews that have not been validated.
