Bad experience? File a formal complaint with the BBB

With the amount of Canadian resorts/ tickets listed on their website, it is reasonable for Canadian customers to assume that the prices are in CDN dollars. Most sites specify "USD" clearly from the get-go if the consumer will be charged in US dollars. I would have paid less if I had just purchased the tickets directly from the resort.... needless to say, I feel like I was ripped off. Certainly people would not purchase tickets from Liftopia if they knew that it actually ends up costing them MORE money than what they would pay at the resort (not good for their business, and a reason to try and conceal information, no?). Afterall, people are going to this site to save money. With so many other complaints, it is clear that the company is not transparent with this information. This is a shady way of doing business. I won’t ever use liftopia again, and hope that this review saves others from the frustrating experience that I’ve encountered. My suggestion to others that have had a bad experience – file a formal complaint against them through the Better Business Bureau online complaint system (BBB of the Golden Gate & Northern California). It only takes 5-10 minutes and will affect their rating/ credibility.

Our listed prices should always be less than or equal to the price you would pay on-mountain, but we have no control over what fees your credit card company might charge you separately from your transaction with us.
