There was an article in EAA's "Sport Aviation" magazine a few months ago about flight shoes that really motivated me to buy shoes featuring slider heels. However, buying shoes that I couldn't try on prior to purchase caused me to hesitate. My issue was that I have narrow feet and many "universal fit" varieties are too wide for me. With flying season is in full swing, I threw caution to the wind and decided to gamble. Some homeless person was going to get new shoes if my new Lift shoes didn't fit! I ordered the all leather version so that I could maintain a reasonably decent appearance with a little TLC. Many shoes worn by pilots wind up looking shabby after a few years in service. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product and the fact that they seem to fit my narrow feet perfectly. I'm looking forward to my first flight to experience the benefit of the slider heels.
