I got a life proof waterproof case. I was trying to register the warranty and they are telling me they can't help me that there should have been a blue piece a paper in with the case that had warranty information on it, and without that they can't do anything. Now I have to go back to Verizon, and we all know how helpful they are. So the outcome looks grim, paid extra for protection that I will likely not be getting. I could have bought a nice case for half the cost, and a lot less aggravation.

Never again!!!!!!!
I have the 6 PLUS and I have the Nuud case and dropping it off my couch completely shattered the screen! Drop proof my butt!!! Then when I called they didn't really give me any sort of explenation. My case is not old at all, one drop from my couch should not have completely ruined my screen... I'm livid.

By far the worst customer service experience of my life
My troubles with the LifeProof Nuud go back about 2.5 months now. I bought the first one from the Apple store for my iPhone 6. In less than a month, the little door that covers the charge port had lost one of its teeth. It was no longer sitting flush and was clearly no longer waterproof. I brought it back to the store and had it swapped for another. About a month goes by and the same thing happens on the new one! Clearly there is an issue in the way the little teeth that hold this door shut are molded. This time, I just went back to get a refund. The Apple store rep that I spoke to told me that LifeProof wants all warranty and refund requests to go through them, but that he would be willing to call in and see if they could route the return through the store. It turns out the answer was "no" and that I would have to call in myself and pay a $5.30 shipping fee (he said the LifeProof rep had claimed that this was because customers wanted expedited shipping), but that this sounded absurd to him and I should try to talk them out of it. So I went ahead and called LifeProof support.
When I first called in, the rep apologized for the trouble with the Nuud case, but said they couldn't give me a refund as I hadn't bought the product through them. When I pointed out that it was their product, she told me that they don't issue refunds unless you buy your case through their site. When I questioned her on this, she said that returns from the site are easy as the money just goes back to the card, but it's harder and inconvenient for them to issue a refund by check, and so they didn't do it. She did, however, offer to give me a free one-time upgrade to the Fre line if I agreed to pay a $5.30 shipping fee. I figured that it would be worth trying a different case and it WAS a free upgrade, so why not.
As soon as I went online, I found out that the Fre is in no way an upgrade over the Nuud. In fact, it's a step down! Irritated, I called back and explained the situation to a new rep. I said that I wanted the $5.30 charge refunded to my card and I wanted a refund by check issued for the initial purchase amount. Once again, the representative was very apologetic and said that he would issue a refund by check. After sending in photos of the case and my receipt, I was notified that a "full" refund for part of what I had paid would be issued (they refused to refund the sales tax).
This was my third call in to LifeProof support. This time I went straight through to a manager who told me it was illegal for them to refund state sales tax. A quick search online yielded a BBB article stating the exact opposite. In fact, their article clearly states that "A vendor, who has refunded sales tax on returned merchandise, may apply to the Department of Revenue for abatement of the sales tax refunded." Given this is the second time I was misled by LifeProof support, I can only assume that they don't think consumers have access to the internet.
Finally, after reporting all of this to OtterBox (The parent company), I was contacted by a LifeProof supervisor who said they weren't obligated to refund at all.

Case leaked
I had a Lifeproof Fre case for the iPhone5s - the back of the case has a glued on window to show the Apple logo. This window was not sufficiently glued and water leaked into the case destroying my phone. I have been communicating with Lifeproof for 2 weeks - I still do not have a replacement phone or case. I would discourage anyone from buying a Lifeproof case. They cannot deliver what they promise.

Worst Customer Service FRE for iPhone 6 is Junk
I have purchased 8 different Lifeproof cases for myself and family over the past few years and will never order another product from this company again. I ordered a FRE for my iPhone 6 in December and it did not show up, I let them know it never arrived and they sent another FRE case out that I did receive and they billed me a second time. I didn't catch the second billing until April when I went to see if I could exchange it for the NUUD case because the FRE screen is loose against my phone screen and the fingerprint reader doesn't work most of the time. They refused to credit me back the double charge because too much time had elapsed. I asked them to provide proof they sent two cases and they said they only had tracking info for one case. After several calls they agreed to send another FRE case to make up for the one they never shipped. I told them I don't need two FRE cases when I didn't like the first one. As a compromise I asked them to ship the NUUD case to offset being billed twice, they refused. I manufacture smartphone products and I know how cheap it is to build one of these cases. They are charging $79-89 for a case that costs less than $2 to make and package. You would think with this much profit margin they would have decent customer service. DO NOT BUY LIFEPROOF PRODUCTS. I AM POSTING THIS EVERYWHERE POSSIBLE.

Cannot text with case on, rude service, do not recommend.
I was initially excited to get this case, but when I did I quickly found out that the front cover made it very hard to text. I tried to reposition it- still no luck. The front cover is not flush with the phone, making it difficult to impossible to send a quick text or email without hitting all the wrong keys. I tried to return it, and they would not accept the return because it was not still in the box (even though it was in PERFECT condition and had all accessories). The service staff had a "too bad, so sad" attitude towards me, and now I am out $100. The least they could have done is given me a partial refund. The front screen is terrible. I can't vouch for other aspects of the case, but if you plan on texting or using your phone, or if you appreciate good customer service, DO NOT GET THIS CASE!
