Horrible experience with my lifeproof case. The case did not protect the phone from a 30 sec exposure to water. It is not waterproof, will never buy another one.

Galaxy S7. Case does not fit flushly against phone screen causing the user to have to press very hard on clear part of case and screen to use the phone. The charging door broke off twice. Customer service said it is my fault due to opening the charging door improperly (Really?). The third case is on the way. I am now on a mission in life to find a decent smart phone case manufacturer.

Regretfully, I purchased a black Lifeproof Fre case for my Samsung S8. This case absolutely should not be labeled “lifeproof”. Every other day I have had to remove my phone from the case because the volume controls quit randomly. You have to double tap most selections near the edge of the phone. Most recently, I removed my phone from the case to retrieve SIM card and the back of my phone is shattered. This phone is practically brand new, never ever dropped one time and for the life of me, I cannot recall a single instance that could have harmed my phone. The only thing that could have happened is if, when I had the phone in my pocket, I either bumped into something or twisted the case in some way. Either way, it is LAUGHABLE that this case comes from Lifeproof. The consensus is that protective cases for phones with the beveled edge are of poor quality because manufactures are trying to figure out the best methods….well here is a tip, just because this certain style phone is out there and in need of protection, doesn’t give you, Lifeproof, the right to put out an inadequate “lifeproof” case to simply keep up. I feel wronged by you Lifeproof…your product failed. Now I have a case with broken volume controls, a broken phone, and a 150$ deductible…all because I trusted your product. I regret wasting my 90 dollars. The only positive I have for the company is that their customer service folks are great! As complimentary as that sounds, please consider that their customer service must be great in regards to the fre for the S8. It is junk and there is no way they don't know it!

Products are falsely advertised, my phone has a water spot after being in a lifeproof case Fre since the day of purchase.

So I want to start by saying don't buy lifeproof cases, here's my story. Imagine your self arriving to Cancun mx for a vacation that you saved and budgeted for an entire year, As you may imagine 80% of the activities to be done in Cancun are of the aquatic scenario. Being proactive I decided to splurge on what I thought to be a serious investment on a waterproof case, given the companies logo and marketing I decided on Lifeproof for my needs. My wife on the other hand purchased what I though to be a zip lock bag on a landyard for your phone online for about 2$. After purchasing such product "lifeproof Nuud" for iPhone 6plus, I did all the necessary tests prior to introducing my device to water as directed in the packaging. Once settled in our room my family and I decide to hit the beach, perfect moment to get great shots of the kids on the beach and in the water....so I thought. After about 5 minutes of being in shallow water I check my phone only to see that water was now inside my expensive!!! Lifeproof case. I franticly grab my kids get them out of the water and head for the beach, desperately trying to save my phone I open of the case and attempt to dry my phone with a towel but to no avail.... the phones screen began to dim until it was completely dark and shut off. Great way to start a vacation with no phone and no other way of capturing on pictures and videos my kids laughs and smiles, thank you Lifeproof. Once back in the states I contacted lifeproof customer service in an attempt to see if they offered any type of warranty for damages caused by faulty Lifeproof products, but was told they could only replace the case... seriously ??? While I understand that there is no warranty on anything in life, I would have seriously though they would at least help me replace my phone. Given the hassle there product caused, while we have great memories of our trip I cant share them with anyone else. Truly disappointed.

Really liked LifeProof. Have owned several cases and have bicycle and auto mount but I have a iPhone 7 plus which is less than a year old with a LifeProof case that failed me in the water. Now I have a $1000.00 iphone that is junk and all LifeProof wants to do is send me a new case. What good is a new case with a water logged phone. Beware, they do not stand behind the product.

Terrible case. Im on my fourth case in a year and they have all had the same problem- the edges peel up and dont seal, thus letting in water. This usualy happens after a couple of months but this time it started the day I got the most recent one. Luckily I bought my case from John Lewis, who have replaced the cases every time without question. Now the cap for the aux port has snapped off. Im hoping John Lewis will refund me in full so I can buy myself an Otterbox case.

Been using my lifepeoof case for only two months people are complaining at the other end of the line that can't hear me, I tried to clean it blow on it nothing seems to be working and today the home Button plastic cover peeled off.. Its very annoying cus I payed $90 for it on T-mobile when I got a new iPhone.. there goes my hard earned money.. I wish they sell home button plastic cover replacements instead of buying a whole new case again... FIX THE FLAW LIFEPROOF
