When negative information relates to debts that are legitimately owed, we encourage clients to address those obligations with the appropriate creditor. As a credit repair service, our role includes challenging potentially inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable negative information on a client’s behalf. Clients may request that disputes be delayed if they do not wish to challenge particular items. However, once dispute communications have been sent, we cannot retract them. Consumers may contact the credit bureaus directly to request removal of a dispute notation from their reports, subject to the bureaus’ procedures. We recognize that active dispute notations can affect the mortgage approval process, as some mortgage lenders prefer credit reports without active disputes.
