I ended up having to deal with a credit card company on my own after they couldn't negotiate a payment without me contributing more of a monthly payment to the loan to Level. They caused me an extra $1000 in late fees and interest on this card and it didn't matter to the card company, no money was deducted from that higher balance. I thought this company would pay these credit card companies right away, it doesn't work that way and I regret believing I had nothing to worry about after I agreed to the loan from them. No care of what they caused, no financial break from what they caused. How would you like a court summons from a card company when you thought all was set! Look elsewhere. Get a loan from a company who doesn't wait for your funds to build up then pays a credit card company. Get a straight out loan period and pay off your credit cards yourself. Lesson learned.

Through the entire time I was with Level Debt, it was very hard to get any response with the people assigned to my account, especially since it changed hands a few time. I went in with 6 accounts, had the smallest one paid and the rest just wrecked my credit because there was no movement from the negotiators at Level Debt. ***IF YOU ARE TRYING TO IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT OR BUY A HOUSE, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!***

Buyer beware. I was told after I made 6 months of payments that I would be able to get a loan that then I could pay off my debts. I also was told that this company was different and I would not have to stop paying my credit cards, which I learned was a lie, after I signed up. Now 7 months later and my credit is ruined which I spent so much to keep up the history, I could have juat called and negotiated myself, rather than paying them, also was not informed about the $60 coaching fee and I thought the process was going to be simple, but on top of the calls I got from the bills I was told I had to stop paying to do the program after, I also got calls from them trying to set up appointments with them, that I didn't have the time for. Definitely, do did not follow through with what they promised on more than one occasion.

I’m not understanding these 5 star reviews. I would suggest not doing this program. These people manipulate you. They settled our debt with charge offs. Charge offs are worse than being late. I promise you they will make the process seem easy and it’s anything but. They charge an additional 60 a month for credit counseling. They will continue to take it out. It doesn’t matter what you owe. We are paying them 1160.00 per month and they basically stole 6000 dollars from us by getting a charge off and keeping the amount that was owed to the company. Beware. !!!!

Don’t go through the program. I was told to “trust the process” and ended up with the same amount owed and I’m declaring bankruptcy anyways. They did not help me, don’t waste your time. They also don’t allow less than a 5 star review on the site… which is scammy… to say the least.
