Avoid. Period. Auto pilot sounds good, but an AI that can't handle Cost of Goods Sold? The small percentage of businesses who can use this will still be disappointed by severe lack of knowledgeable customer service. When you get communication, from their team, it's on "auto pilot" with wrong or abstract, pointless answers. Worst decision I've made so far since starting my business = hiring them. Beware.

The ads on instagram are not the…
The ads on instagram are not the experience I had. Long wait times, horrible customer service, errors on their system regarding healthcare enrollment which lead to months of being uncovered even though it said I was enrolled.
From their support team "There was an error that allowed enrollment even though you did not have funds in your Lettuce bank account to submit the premium deposit equal two months of premium, this should not be able to happen and our team fixed that issue. Just to reiterate, you are not enrolled yet."
"Regarding the June start date, we cannot do that....There is no flexibility there, sorry"
There is a connected bank account with plenty of money in it.

Hi Morgan, we're sorry for the experience this has caused. We can see you’ve been working with our benefits support team on the enrollment issue. The wait times and the communication around your start date fell short of our standard. We appreciate your patience and are glad to have the chance to make it right.

Do not use Lettuce.co - you will regret it if you do....
Have been a Lettuce.co customer for over a year. I should have known that it wouldn't go well, given it took them so long to set up my new S-corp. However, throughout the year I had problems with their portal, processes, etc. It culminated with them filing a tax filing extension without asking my permission and then filing a different set of tax forms than the ones I could download from their portal. Needless to say, they caused me lots of problems and extra work, as well as some money.

Hi Thomas, we're sorry for the frustration this caused. This is not the experience we want for our customers, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback.

A $28,306 tax error, and a "100% accuracy guarantee" that didn't hold up when it mattered
I became a Lettuce customer in November 2025 after a full year of deliberation, and I appreciate the assistance with transitioning my business into an S-Corp, as well as the platform's visibility into how my income is distributed.
That said, since joining, the onboarding process and communication have been clunky and confusing. The system has experienced ongoing glitches, which have made me question what I can actually trust. Taxes are handled not by Lettuce directly, but by their partner, Formations — a communication gap and additional relationship layer I didn't fully realize I was signing up for. The Lettuce AI bot is helpful to a point, but for a business owner who needs confidence that all the bases are covered, it isn't a substitute for real human guidance. If you do happen to talk to a human, the interactions are inconsistent. Some people are helpful, others are cold, and still others seem to be using AI-generated responses anyway.
That service gap became a serious problem this year. My 2025 tax return was filed, showing a refund of over $30,000. The IRS approved $1,772. After weeks of my own investigation — because Lettuce did not proactively catch this with due diligence and professionalism you'd expect from a tax professional — I discovered the root cause: a single estimated tax payment was entered on my return twice, and misclassified as a 2025 payment when it actually belonged to 2024. This inflated my estimated tax payments by $28,306 and distorted my expected refund.
When I raised this, Lettuce's team eventually confirmed the error in writing. But what concerns me most is that Lettuce advertises a guarantee, stating: "We guarantee the accuracy of our work 100%." When I held them to that standard, they reinterpreted their own guarantee after the fact, claiming it only applies to IRS audit defense — not to actual preparation errors like this one. In other words, the guarantee did not mean what it appeared to promise when it actually needed to apply. After significant back-and-forth, the resolution offered was a $598 refund (two months of service) against a $3,588 fee I paid for tax preparation. I don't think the resolution matches the problem's weight.
To be fair, their support team was reasonably cooperative once I raised concerns, and they didn't stonewall me. But a $28,306 error isn't a minor slip, and an accuracy guarantee that gets redefined the moment it's tested isn't a guarantee — it's marketing. My trust in their work has completely eroded.
I've recently left Lettuce for a live CPA who will handle all of this same stuff for me for less than the cost of a subscription. If you use Lettuce, do not assume the numbers on your filed return are correct — independently verify every estimated tax payment against your own bank records and IRS Online Account before and after filing.

Hi Rosey, Thank you for the honest feedback. We're glad the S-Corp transition and tax savings have been worthwhile, but we hear you on the onboarding, communication, and platform issues; you shouldn't be left guessing. We're working to improve these experiences.

Non-existent Customer Service
Onboarding & migration has been an absolute nightmare. Painfully slow & limited comms. I'm in my 6th week and still not a functional platform. I currently have $50K in funds that have left my old bank and have not posted in my Lettuce accounts, with my original $10K in limbo for 7 banking days now. The bank links work, money left my bank, but Lettuce doesn't show it. I have no access to my funds and have no idea where my money is. Emails go unanswered, no phone support available to call (they use a phone number app if they contact you so it's not their actual number...not sure what that's about). I regret doing choosing Lettuce at this point and have disrupted my business so much that I have to see it through to completion. Lettuce has failed to earn my trust as financial partner in my business, and is proving to be a very poor decision on my part for choosing them. I don't write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this one.

Eric - We're sorry for the experience you had with Lettuce. This falls short of the standard we hold ourselves to, and we are actively improving our customer service. Thank you for the feedback.

Onboarding Nightmare
Getting setup and fully onboarded has been an extremely slow and a very glitchy process. Started this process on registering my LLC in early February and took them a month to just submit the documents to the state. Support team is EXTREMELY slow at answering compared to any other services I’ve used. Honestly I’d be happier having AI answer me at this point. Now that the company is registered the dashboard software doesn’t even work and isn’t even displaying that I have access to the bank account or anything. I would say there is no way this service is worth $300 a month. At $300 a month you would think this would be a pretty straightforward painless experience.

Hi Daniel, we're sorry the onboarding experience has been this frustrating. We’re sorry for the challenges caused by the delays and post-registration issues. We understand why this experience did not feel worth the investment. We've identified the issue holding up your account and are actively working to get it resolved. We appreciate your patience and want to make sure the experience going forward is much smoother.

Very poor experience and slow customer service
My experience has been very poor, at best. I waited over four weeks for my business to be incorporated due to repeated back-and-forth regarding the name and structure. I was informed that I needed to form a professional corporation instead of an LLC, but no clear explanation was provided regarding the differences in compliance or what that would mean for me. I proceeded based on the assumption that the process would be similar.
When I finally received my paperwork, the name on the S-corporation election form did not match the name on my official incorporation documents. I notified them immediately, but responses often take several days to a full week. It has now been over a month, and the issue still has not been resolved.
Additionally, my bank account information was changed without my knowledge, which created confusion with the invoices I had already sent out.
Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful. I truly wish I had not gone through this process with them. I remain hopeful that things will improve, but at this point, it has been very disappointing.
Update: As of 3/30/26, still no response. I've left emails and voicemails.

Onboarding is going terribly
My onboarding is going terribly. I still have not received the proper documentation to bill my clients under what was supposed to be my transition to an S-Corp. I get slow responses from support (more than 24 hours) and only an email which did not address all my questions. I requested a 1:1 meeting with someone from support and was ignored. I am now going to try to get a refund, which hopefully will happen, but I am not optimistic.
Response from LettuceMar 21, 2026
Hi Kristin, we’re sorry your onboarding experience fell short. Missing documentation and slow responses aren’t the standard we aim for. We appreciate your feedback and are using it to improve. Wishing you the best going forward.
