LensDirect.comReviews of lensdirect.com

Great price on Alcon Air Optix Colors lens. However, the quality of the lens is very poor. I've worn these for years but always purchased through my local optometrist. Each lens should last one month for a six month supply. So far out of my last supply, I've only been able to stretch monthly use for one set before changing. You'll have to replace each side in 15-20 days. You're actually getting a 3 month supply if you get lucky. Also, only reviews posted on website are 4 and 5 ratings. SCAM ALERT!!!!

Avoid at all cost! I had a great pair of frames I needed lenses for. I sent them in and waited and waited and waited! The entire time there crappy website stated my lenses were being worked on. About a month in I called to see what the hell was taking so long. They at that point stated they did not receive my prescription? This was a blatant lie due to the fact I not only entered it in manually but also uploaded a photo of it? You can’t even order without completing that part so total lie. I then asked why no one contacted me and why did the website state they were being worked on? They completely disregarded my questions and said they would rush the order with no compensation or regard for how long it was taking. It made me so mad I ordered 2 pairs of glasses from some place else both pairs I received before I got my frames back from lens-direct. It took 2 months in total to get them back that’s 2 months of bad vision thanks to there incompetence. If you need to see at your job your better off going elsewhere…

I have placed my order on June 06, 2021. Exactly four months later, I have finally received my glasses. The temples were bent outwards so much, they wouldn't even go behind my ears. I had to bend them back to make them fit my face. I suppose this was an improvement over the first version of the glasses they've sent me. The one with a strong blue reflection to the point that my wife could not even see my eyes behind all that blue glare. Also, I have paid extra to get a thinner glass, but It's just as thick as my previous glasses. The supervisor never call me back. The team is nice, but absolutely incompetent at even calling back and following through. The left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing. The whole experience was nothing but frustration. Never again will I use any online service like lensdirect.com. I'd rather have a peace of mind, and do it with my local store. Oct 16, 2021 update: Just got a reply from Lensdirect stating that it's impossible I've waited 4 months for my glasses. If they check Order #913478194, they will see that it had to be returned due to lensdirect.com messing up the glass coating. They have created a second order #913499978 for the same glasses on July 20th. This is my USPS tracking #9400111202509498995273 that shows when I actually received the glasses. Bent temples, but at least the glass is good. Both orders still don't have an updated status on them. I have provided additional information on my order. Let's see what they say after reviewing my "impossible" order. Mind you, no mention of other mess-ups.

So I had an old pair of prescription sunglasses with an old prescription - I sent the old glasses in to lensdirect to have new lenses put in to match my current prescription. Got the glasses back and they are too blurry for me to use - basically everything is about 1/2 inch off from my field of vision. I generally use my sunglasses for driving but there’s no way I can use these for driving. These glasses took a month to get to me - I paid over $100 for these and they are unusable. I am told that I can send them back in to have the process redone - meaning I would have to wait another month to get them back again, but why would the process work the second time if it didn’t work the first time? Also I don’t want to wait another month for this - I think I’m going to see if Walmart Vision center can assist. I think there are better options out there for consumers - keep searching.

After 3 weeks of receiving my new frames, I received an email sayng "sorry we have cancelled your contact lens order". Terrible service! Terrible communication- extremely bad experience. Starting over from scratch. Hope they send my frames back in one piece. It will be 1 month lost...

Duval is part of the Lensdirect team and one I'd recommend everyone stay clear of. I requested expedited shipping a week ago and come to find out the order was never placed after expecting the shipment as requested. Duval simply tells you what you want to hear. Lensdirect IMO seems to have some big staffing issues. Email after email, chat after chat for a simple matter with a few of the team.. I cancelled the account and went back to dealing with 1 800 Contacts. Order is confirmed and I'll have them to my door in 2 days.

I ordered replacement lenses online for my original eyeglass frames. My frame was broken when the lenses I ordered arrived. Exactly, the right hinge part was broken. So I contacted the customer center, and they said they would refund the price of the lens I ordered without compensation for my frame. Obviously, even though my frame was broken due to their fault, their compensation policy only compensates for the lenses I ordered. Beware of those looking to order lenses through this company. They don't want to take responsibility for their mistakes.

It was the worst experience EVER buying contacts online. 1st the discount code i used wasn't applied, ok fine I'll pay full price. 2nd took forever to ship, then i was told I'd be getting expedite shipping, LIES and 3rd its been over 3 weeks and it hasn't arrived Had to order from other place since i don't have regular glasses at the moment... Oh and customer service wont even answer my emails... In conclusion, use some other site to get your contacts
