Enrique answered my question promptly. I could not find out what happens to the old lenses after replacement. Turns out they are shipped back with the new lenses, which is great.

I had some issues with defective Contact lenses manufactured by Johnson & Johnson. A couple of the lenses for both eyes were cloudy when I tried to wear. I’ve been wearing Acuvue for eons and have always had problems with every single order with receiving defective lenses. Regardless where I purchased the contacts it seems a couple from each batch was missed by whomever did quality sampling with J&J. My eye doctor always replaced the bad lenses and I hoped LensDirect would do the same. Sure enough when I reached out to LD a customer service representative by the name of Dion assisted. Dion was more than happy to replace the defective lens and then some. You know 1-800 Contacts claims they offer the best contact lens prices but they don’t. Pricing with LensDirect is less and it seems they always offer a percentage off from the price. I will continue to be a LensDirect customer due to their proactive approach with their customers and they stand behind the products they sell.
