Signed up and figured the worse case scenario would be a waste of $22 per month, didn't realize it was required to have it for 12 months. Even then I attempted to cancel early but was not allowed to. So naturally I'm canceling the plan in month 13. Ready to make a call to my bank to make sure there isn't a 14th payment for a plan where nobody is helpful and nothing happens no matter what options I try. Don't bother attempting to make use of any plan you go with for this Metlife Legal annual plan. Nothing like the feeling of wasting nearly $300 in 13 months along with the time and effort of attempting to use the plan for anything. Regards, Long Vu

MetLife Legal is pretty much WORTHLESS if you actually NEED an attorney. The law firm I found through them wrote a demand letter, then sent me a letter two days later stating they were closing the case because they were no longer contracting through metlife. When I reached out to MetLife for help, the man who called me back, Noah Whitehead, spoke like a real attorney saying that MetLife did all they would do under the contract. When I explained I'm now in a legal process without representation, and could he help me get representation, he basically said, "we only act in a defensive matter, if you were being sued, but not offensive if you are suing." I said could you please send me a list of real estate attorneys so I can bring this matter to conclusion. His response was, "we don't recommend law firms outside of MetLife". I am looking for help, not all the reasons your not going to be helpful. Spoken like a true attorney. Just worthless!!!!

HORRIBLE ! waste of money from work pay for this service with employer. They have very few attorneys to refer you to because the attorneys make it clear They don’t get paid much so you pay for what you get basically. the attorney we got referred to not only was useless and had no knowledge of the civil law, but he gave me damaging and inaccurate advice and told me I could send a cease-and-desist letter to two people I have harassment injunction order of no contact on and he sent me the letter with a totally different story then what we discussed.Had i have taken his advice and sent letters I could’ve been in big trouble with the law (breaking no contact order) and the attorney knew of the injunctions.the reps at metlife legal plan have no knowledge of what they’re doing. They tell you I don’t know on most questions. Cannot answer them act like they were just hired yesterday and are not helpful at all.Dont waste your hard earned money on Metlife legal plan it is a waste.In fact had i taken attorney advice i could be in big legal trouble.This was in Maricopa county AZ lawyer referred to was Jean Paul Cass ESQ.This plan is basically another money making org designed to wheel you in and then the attorney they refer you to markets you hard to get more more money out of you. I recommend searching for attorney on own as there is no benefit financially either to use Met life legal.

I contacted their support after having a bad experience with an attorney recommended on their plan. I told them about how I’ve paid all amounts requested by the attorney and the attorney ended up filing but not following up on my case resulting in it getting disposed. They won’t provide me with any documentation. I’m in the dark and have paid them so much. I asked support what I could do and they got very defensive. I told them I was trying to work things out with the attorney to please not contact them but I’m planning what I can do if I can’t get it to work. They called my attorney anyway. And act like they’ve resolved something. This is the worst service. I wish I could go back and never choose this. I’m now filing my own case with no representation.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK FOR, SARA THE THE TRAINER PLAYS FAVORITISM. SHE HELPED PEOPLE ON THEIR TESTS AND FAILED THOSE WHO ACTUALLY PASSED. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE YOU YOUR TEST SCORES. IF THE WRONG ANSWER WAS ON THE TEST SARA WAS ABLE TO GO IN THE COMPUTER TO CHANGE IT. SHE ALLOWED BULLYING AND A LOT OF LYING TO TAKE PLACE THAT MADE LEARNING VERY HARD. SHE TOLD THE AGENCY SOMETHING ABOUT MY ATTENDANCE WHEN THERE WAS TWO TO THREE OTHER PEOPLE WHO'S ATTENDANCE WAS WAY WORSE THAN MINE. BEWARE WORK HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK

When you call to ask about your coverage, they won't give you a straight answer, they'll tell you to call a lawyer. You try to call lawyers and get the run around and half of them won't help you or say they will and then don't call back. It takes a lot of your time to get helpful legal support

I understand the business - they are taking the monthly fee to recommend you a list of providers, but those providers will either decline to help, say it only covers consultation (you'd get it free directly anyway), or say you need to pay more for actual case review and work. How do I know that? I got them through employment and tried to use for 4 different services, having gone through 5-7 providers each time. I found those providers charging exactly same fee if contacted directly. One provider actually charged more through MetLife (think $5k difference). If you have separately paid to MetLife-referred provider and had great experience with that - good for you, but it isn't what's advertised in the plan. They specifically state things you can do and providers say it's not covered. So while I understand the business model, it doesn't mean that I find it valuable at all, and will be cancelling my employment sponsored plan. I can get same list of providers from Google and screen them better.

We have been trying for weeks to get help with a demand letter. MetLife has been useless for us. Most of the attorneys have said no they won't help, never returned calls, stood us up for phone call consults that we had to take off work for, or just plain our told us MetLife doesn't pay them enough and they don't have time for us.
