Hi Stephanie, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! We appreciate hearing your thoughts. While our bracket system is unique, we designed it to provide a very secure hanging option that allows the shelves to sit flush against the wall and not sag forward. This also allows them to hold a decent amount of weight. As the shelves themselves are not very heavy, we have found that a cleat was not necessary to keep them secure. I hope that you were able to get them installed without any issues, but if you have any frustrations, please feel free to reach out. We are always happy to help! Kristi

Hi Joe, I appreciate you letting us know that you had a frustrating experience with the delivery carrier. I sent you an email so that I can gather some more information and follow up with FedEx regarding your delivery. If you could provide that info, I would be happy to register your complaint with them. I was not able to find an order connected to your review, so any additional information you can provide would be very helpful. We never want our customers to experience this type of frustration. I hope to hear from you soon! Kristi Urban Legacy

Hi Jana, Thanks for the review! We are so glad to hear you like your shelves. The brackets on our standard floating accent shelves are placed so that the outside screws of the brackets will line up with studs that are 16" apart on center. If the placement of the brackets does not line up with your stud layout, rest assured that the weight capacities shown in the listing are the same whether mounted into studs, or with the supplied drywall anchors. If you have any additional questions regarding the mounting of the shelves, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer service team and we will be glad to assist! Cheers, Aidan
