Absolutely one of the worst experiences…
Absolutely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a Sales Rep/"Sr. Analyst)!! The meeting actually started off well, but things quickly went downhill when my dog began barking in the background. The Rep became irritated and rudely told me to shut my door (which It was) or “give them a treat or something” to quiet them down. In follow-up texts, he even referred to my dog's barking as “yapping.” I had absolutely no problem with him acknowledging that the barking was distracting. What bothered me was his attitude and the way he handled it. He could have simply and professionally suggested that we reschedule the call, which I was already alluding to. Instead, he wanted to continue and became increasingly irritated and rude whenever the dog barked. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the worst part... His follow-up texts were even more unprofessional and, at times, borderline demeaning. At one point, he actually asked me, “Why are you taking this so personally? Your wife was totally fine.” Are you kidding me?!?! Did he really just ask me that... For the record, she wasn’t and she was actually more irritated by his behavior than I was. When you’re speaking to potential clients who are considering trusting your company with an important and potentially expensive legal matter, professionalism and basic courtesy should be a given. My experience was the exact opposite! I wish them the best, but if this is how potential clients are treated before they’ve even signed on, I can only imagine what the experience might be afterwards. And for what it’s worth, I’ll take my dog’s “yapping” over his any day.
