From the beginning there were issues with the website, couldn’t figure out if my payment was accepted. The next day I had am appointment, so getting an appointment quickly is not an issue. The appointment was an issue though, Dr. 45 minutes late. The entire appointment consisted of three text message questions. Next day I get an email that I am all set to log on to the MA site to complete the process, didn’t work. Tried over and over, didn’t work. Call the MA Commission to figure out the problem. Seems the doctor put in a birth year that made me over 100 years old. Had to notify Leafy Doc to change DOB and issue a new certificate. Overall not a well run organization, won’t be using them again.

DONT USE. Had an appointment for yesterday at 7 and no call or email. Sent 3 emails and finally got a response saying the doctor should text me soon and still haven’t heard anything.

Dr Dattell only renewed my recommendation for 9 months instead of a year. This site, anyone affiliated with it and the customer service surrounding it are all complete jokes. I was SO unhappy with the experience I wasn’t even going to bother trying to get it corrected. With the abhorrent service, I’m sure that would be almost impossible anyways. Rather, I’ll just find a different and competent doctor when it expires. Inexcusable failures and poor job, all around!!!! :) thanks for damn near nothing!

Meet with Doctor and was told I would get an email detailing next steps in 2 to 3 days, it has been 2 weeks and no email. My application was approved by State but no recommendations have been placed on my account and again it has been 2 weeks. I've gone to the patient dashboard and sent message to Doctor 4 different times with 0 reply or even an acknowledgement of them. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Everything about this experience felt like it was going to be a total scam. From no one calling me at my selected time slot to finally talking with a “Dr. Philip” who was racing through his information and questions. This was supposed to be a video chat yet there was no video, just a quick phone call and no verification of any documents showing my medical information. I was very surprised that all he did was take my word for it and approved me for medical marijuana. It wasn’t until the next day that I received the email from CT.gov and was totally surprised that this wasn’t an actual scam. Very unprofessional and costly! In an addendum to my previous review, I only received a phone call from someone after i had to call their number and left two messages telling them I was still waiting after my time slot had passed for someone to have a VIDEO CHAT and only then did I hear from “Dr. Philip” who was calling me from a blocked number. Again, there was no VIDEO portion of the call and at no point was I asked to provide any documents/proof regarding my medical information and also Dr. Philip was rushing through all questions and information that it just felt “fake”. Then when I finally got to ask him what his name again was and was told by him that I don’t need to worry about that and promptly ended the phone call. For the fee that was charged for me to get this important approval I was expecting a much more professional experience. Even though it turned out not to be a scam (I will say again I was totally surprised that I finally did receive the official email the next day from CT.gov and was relieved that I wasn’t actually scammed), this was not on any real level of professionalism.

Card never received

I booked an appointment for 10 am and waited for an hour with no contact except a text saying to log out and the doctor would call me when they were available. 75 minutes later still no doctor. I made a couple of calls to them and got voicemail. It’s really disconcerting to send money up front (which is substantially more than other providers in Maryland) and then have them essentially no-show the appointment.

Updating my review: After a lot of back and forth I finally received my certifying document however, the document I received was for a completely different patient with different information (only the name of the file was mine and everything else belonged to someone else). When I reached out about receiving the wrong document - I was given an apology and told that that the state should be reaching out to me within 48 hours. I was not given the correct document after pointing out the wrong one. The approval email from LeafyDoc tells me to fill out my state application and wait for a card - this was already done. It seems either the rep unknowingly has wrong information or the information was intended just to give me the runaround. I went to another doctor and was able to complete my appointment, receive my certification, view my allotment with the state, and go to a dispensary all within minutes of the appointment ending. I did not need to contact the state nor did I need to wait for the state to contact me about my certification. I didn't need to wait 48 hours for anything or any reason. I didn't need to wait for a physical card to visit the dispensary. All of the information I received from the LeafyDoc rep was incorrect. I've reached out for a refund but who knows if/when that'll happen. This is one of the most expensive services for certification in MD and the customer service and quality do not match what you pay for. I paid less than half as much at another doctor and was able to go to the dispensary immediately after.
