From "it works" to "what an unusable mess" in one major update.
For a few years I had a well working landing page here, I had found my way through a few of the old leadpages' UI quirks and established a workflow that worked pretty fine for me. Basically an ok'ish web editor with a rather high price tag (compared to the features I really use, maybe there ist way more value in the product, but not for me). When opening leadpages today to prepare a launch for tomorrow as usual, I got shocked! They completely messed up the interface of their new editor. The UI seems to be hacked together in an afternoon by a chatbot – not considering backwards compability or user experience for existing customers. I cannot edit my pages anymore because all section names got replaced by generic technical names (div, div, div). Looks more like a browser inspector now. Basic functions as the timer are broken, too. Now our business is stuck even though we already have announced a sale to our customers for tomorrow. Without editing the pages this will hardly be possible in a professional way. What a shame, what an unprofessional impression we will make on our customers now. We will migrate our sites to a more reliable (and possibly more affordable) provider asap. My trust in Leadpages and their management is severely damaged.
