Had my corner suite for 2 years. Padding has gone, leather is peeling, and it is just damn uncomfortable. Tried claiming on insurance for peeling leather, but Lay Z Boy claimed "wear and tear". Really on a 5000 pound suite in 2 years, disgusted. Over priced, cheaply made, apalling customer service, trust me, DO NOT waste your money as I unfortunatly did. Disappointed is a very big understatement. CRAP is more descriptive.

Like most of the consumers here, I was burned also. Went to an actual "LAZY BOY STORE." The salesman pulled a Jesus is my Savior on my wife and she immediately trusted this POS. We left and she went back the next day and bought a $1900.00 recliner and purchased a 5 year extended warranty. This guy gave her a $100 Leather Conditioning kit for FREE. When the leather started coming off 4 weeks later like Saltine Crackers that you stepped on, I put the chair in the truck and drove it to the store. The guy who sold it to her no longer worked there and the guy laughed at me and said "you really think you were getting a Leather Chair for under $2000? This is the top of the line bonded leather money can by. By chance did he give your wife a FREE Leather Conditioning Kit?" Here's the worst thing. I dragged that chair inside, which they just about had a COW about. I turned it on it's side and flipped the floor model chair over next to it. The floor model had 5/8" plywood. The duplicate one they sold us had particle board. After 10 minutes of words I announced to the rest of the store that I was leaving this piece of junk and advised them to leave also. My neighbor told me that he got ripped off there and they just blew him off. He went back and slipped a package of fish into one of their couches and left. I'm sure about a 4 to 10 days they were having some fun sniffing that smell out. Sad that they can get away with this year after year,

Bought a sofa for $2000.00 it lasted about 6 months and the material covering the cushions started to disintegrate. The material has shredded, I have never seen anything like it. I have called and called customer service and I have been told there is nothing they can do to help me. They do not recover sofas and the fabric on my couch is not in stock anymore. This is not fair, my sofa should last longer than 6 months. Please Please DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LAZY BOY they are a terrible company that does not care about their customers.

We had heard and read marketing info about the quality of La-Z-Boy recliners so went to a local store. After trying out the rocker/recliner for 10 minutes in the local La-Z-Boy store we decided to make the purchase – even though it was much more expensive than any of our other really comfortable, cheaper chairs. What a mistake! Because we have a pickup we were able to shop for a rocker/recliner and bring the chair home with us that day – not told that taking it ourselves would invalidate the 90-day free in-home repair if needed – but that doesn’t matter at this point because we were never even told about the 90-day free in-home repair if purchased at La-Z-Boy! In less than a week we noticed a high pitch squeak – like metal on metal. Since this had nothing to do with a defective mechanism (we thought), I tried oiling, wrapping metal areas with yarn, rubber bands, etc. to try to get the squeak to stop – to no avail. A friend mentioned that I should call La-Z-Boy service center -- pathetic customer service at the “service” center! The supervisor questioned my integrity about why I wouldn’t have called them about the sound sooner if it truly has squeaked for almost a year. When I told her that I knew the warranty was for mechanical, not sound, she then proceeded to sarcastically tell me she was “sooooo sorry that I didn’t know about a service center!!!” The customer service “woman” told me that if we pay $90 dollars that a serviceman will come to our home to see if it’s a defect -- or just our problem that we’ll have to deal with (from the sound of other reviews I’m thinking they’ll take the easy way out and just call it ‘wear and tear’!) – or another option, my husband (in his 70’s) can try to carry this massive piece of crap out of the house and get it onto the pickup so we can drive it an hour away to their service center, leave it for repair and then come back to pick it up when they’ve fixed the problem. Wow! That’s only a total of 4-hour drive back and forth twice to have a crappy piece of La-Z-Boy furniture repaired!! I’m sorry I didn’t read “real-life” reviews before purchasing the poor-quality, shoddy piece of crap from a company with very poor, rude, condescending “customer service”. We’ll never waste our money on La-Z-Boy products again!

I am in County Court to try to obtain satisfaction in a claim against a La-Z-Boy dealer. 10 year warranty is a con - only after supplying the suite was I given a card saying that the seating is only for 12 months - How is that any use at all. Will never look at that company again. Seats collapsed, new foam ordered by manufacturer, wrong parts sent to repairer, no apologies. Avoid like the plague.

I wished I had read people's reports before we purchased a Lazyboy recliner settre The guarantee is hipe, not worth the paper it's written on They only honour A MANUFACTURING FAULT Not the arm dropping off, apparantly its an OAP pushing too hard,

Poor quality furniture. Common problems of flaking leather and sagging seats. Customer services put it down to wear and tear even after 3 months. The ten year guarantee isn’t worth the paper it is written on. My advice to anyone is don’t buy a lazy boy. Poor quality and even poorer customer service.
