I bought a Duo Love Seat and Sofa which is a nice set. I had a problem with the motor coming loose and dropping on the floor after 15 months. So when I called for service they wanted me to pay the $124.00 for a service man to come to my house and take a look at it. They said the labor is only good for a year which is not a great warranty for the amount of money I spent on the set. I did flip the unit over to find that they left a clip to the pin out that holds the motor in place and the pin worked its way out after 15 months of use. I think Lazyboy needs to step up to the plate and send the repairman out first before they charge you to come out and see that they left the lock pin out from the factory. I am not a happy customer at this point

contacted Lay-Z-Boy over the state of the seat/arm and back cushions collapsing on the suit I had bought, they referred me to SCS who I bought the suit from the suit was only 18 months old but they insisted that they only have a 12 month warranty and the 5yr extended warranty does not cover my problem. it can be fixed but at a cost to me. SCS refuse to sign up to the furniture ombudsman I wonder why.

We purchased over $13k worth of furniture in 2017. My $6,000 couch had a broken spring and needed to be re-stuffed because of settling in the cushion. When I called Customer Service, I was told the extended warranty covered the damaged spring, but the stuffing was only covered for ONE year! If I wanted the couch to be fixed correctly, I had to pay to have it stuffed. They came to pick it up in Jan, and after 1 month of no call backs or status, I had to call and demand my couch back. It miraculously has been fixed and ready for re-delivery, which, by the way, is another week and a half away! I don't understand how parts of this kind of "quality" furniture are only covered for 1 year with normal use. This is the worst experience I have ever had and I regret buying from La-Z-Boy every day.

Bought a chair made by them 13 months ago. Have to say quality is very poor for a manual reclining chair costing £1400. Leather is peeling! Mechanism is now wobbly and Seat squab has sagged too. Raised matter with Claytons in Lincoln who I purchased from, they got Homeserve to come see the chair. According to Homeserve, leather is flaking in high points And that’s acceptable, mechanism isn’t too wobbly and falls within ok limits, sagging seat is settlement. So my claim is invalid. Guess what I’m saying is DO NOT BUY A LA Z BOY CHAIR! They’re rubbish.

My wife and I purchased a pair of recliners for our den. We sat in them approx. 5 or 6 times and noticed the fabric was stretching. After sitting in them on and off for about a month we found ourselves sitting on the frame. My wife contacted lazy boy and got no satisfaction. Anyone reading this should do themselves a favor and stay away from lazy boy furniture. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give them a minus 10. Buyer beware. There customer service is non existent. $1200.00 for two chairs and we are going to give them to hospice as soon as we can afford new chairs. THEY WILL NOT BE LAZY BOY.

We bought a large sectional Dawson 2 years ago. It's modular and we thought it'd be great to last us through the first several years of starting a family but it's obviously its not going to last us much longer. We've had to take pieces in 3 times to get the mechanics fixed, the stuffing is already worn flat and I just sat down and the back piece of wood cracked in half. We've even alternated the pieces to spread out the wear and tear but it's just made of terrible material with barely functional metal mechanical parts. Certainly not worth the thousands of dollars we spent thinking we were investing in a good brand. We'll never shop lazy boy again.

Bought a lay-z-boy Ronel swivel armchair in October 2015. On getting it home discovered part of the wood support was splitting so contacted the shop in Carmarthenshire and they sent someone to look at it and said he could get new parts to repair it but we said we wanted a replacement. This arrived 3 months later as we discovered it is made in China! It is now less than 4 years old and the tubular metal support under the chair has split due to metal fatigue and the chair is completely unsafe to sit on. Contacted the furniture shop and they say it is not their problem. Lay-z-boy put a 10 year frame guarantee on the chair but you have to pay them £60 to look at it and then they will decide if they wish to repair it or not. Spoke to citizens advice and they state that under the sale of goods act. Our chair should last more than 4years before major failure as it cost £700. The shop is adamant they are not responsible and they no longer sell lay-z-boy products because the have had so many problems with them. My advice steer well clear of lay-z-boy!!!

Designs are not too bad, but expensive, and their quality control is really bad. A seem split after 2 years in a nice leather recliner they sold us, well with a 5 year service contract we paid $300 for that will not cover the repair. Getting through on the phone line to Lazboy took 40 minutes. They told me they can't stitch the seam back together. Suggested I try a local repair shop! They would replace the whole seat at cost - probably about the same cost as a new chair. They are totally useless.
