Laurel RoadReviews of laurelroad.com

Refinancing my student loans with Laurel Road was incredibly convenient. I would definitely recommend them to others who are thinking about refinancing their student loans. However, it would be helpful if their website provided more in-depth information regarding the refinance process.

It was reasonably easy to refi; I think the 'first payment' functionality needs some improvement, but overall, pretty pleased.

Application process was pretty smooth. I did have to wait on my previous lender for the payoff amount which caused the amount to be innacurate by the time the amount was paid. I had to make a few small payments to cover the last of the previous loan.

Once I was able to gather the required information, the process went quite smoothly and my loan was funded on time.

I feel the whole experience went very smooth! The customer service was great and the website was very user friendly. The only complaint I have is the lack of the ability to change the date of my FIRST payment. The timeline did not work in my favor. I ended up making a payment to my prior loan company and then just a couple weeks later made a payment to Laurel Road. Living paycheck to paycheck, that was very hard on my finances. I reached out to Laurel Road as soon as I noticed this was going to happen, and they said there is nothing they could do.

The loan process has been easy. One of the loans I was consolidating was transferred as I was closing this loan, but Laurel Road adjusted and didn't make everything a huge pain.

The overall process of the refinancing was simple; however, I was given incorrect information by a worker at their call center, so I missed a deadline because I was told it had been extended. Despite the error, the next call center representative was very helpful, got everything straightened out, and followed up to make sure everything went well.

Great experience! Easy to use!
