Could never get loan approval despite numerous contacts. Got it done with another company in 3 days

Easy to fill out to request loan, but even with a good credit score above a 710 I was denied for a personal loan because I had defaulted on loans which were actually bought by another lender and I got out of default, but it’s not showing on my report. If they took the time to examine the numbers they’d see it matches up that the loans were sold and now I’m current. Don’t waste your time since otherwise my credit is great, but they still denied me.

35 yrs plus have gotten loans from different lender and this place is by far the worst place I have done business with.

Way too difficult and difficult to get guidance on applying. My wife and I went through an entire application process and submitted EVERYTHING requested and then were TURNED DOWN because my wife was listed as the primary loan requester and I was listed as the co-signer since there was no way to do a joint application and we were told that I needed to be the primary loan requester and my wife should be the co-signer only because the Parent Plus loans WE were refinancing were in MY name. Total crap and we had to start the entire process all over again and resubmit everything because you all cannot figure it out. Extremely frustrating and time wasting. It would be difficult for me to recommend Laurel Road just for the fact you can't figure simple stuff like this out........probably just all computers running everything.

Rude customer service. Difficult to work with. Out of date forms.

Terrible customer service been customer for over 3yrs and when they changed over name to Laurel Road from DRB there was also a management change. Since then institution been awful. Just refinanced all loans with another lender. Unless you want hours of unnecessary stress and terrible client service, I highly recommend staying away from this bank for any service

My credit Score is over 780, I gross nearly $100,000/year some W-2 some 1099, have $40,000/year (W-2) in a second wage earner as well and was denied to consolidate my $100,000 of student loans. O, and by the way, I've never missed a payment on my current loans, going on 7 years now. Apparently, you do not accept commission income, which is absolutely garbage. Getting a student loan consolidation/refinance accepted is more strict than borrower guidelines on a mortgage. How does that make any sense? I will never refer Laurel Road for any of my clients Student Loan consolidation and will speak undeniably bad on this company to everyone I know. Good luck in the mortgage realm if this is how you treat borrowers of my profile in the Student Loan world.

Stay away from this bank!!! With name change from DRB bank they also changed management. And it is not a good change. They are awful now and very deceptive during the application process. They pulled my credit without my approval and there online application is missing information which they admitted but still would not correct. I was easily approved with no stress at another online refi lender. My advice is to not choose this bank they are deceptive and will cause you a ton of unnecessary stress during the process.
