Scam, scam, scam. Kurv processing Kurv merchant account They promised 1 thing and deliverd something totally different. Its not 2.5% or 2.9% it ended up being 19% after all the fees. Did a batch and they kept close to 30%. I called, emailed multiple times. When I did reach someone I was jerked around, hung up on, no one had any answers. The worst customer service. Imagine going to DMV being staffed by IRS bureaucracy, kurv is worse. The rep that set is up,awesome... nothing but rave reviews, even he was stumped and shocked about the treatment and lack of customer service Kurv offered. I was prepared to offer dozens of business referrals and now I would not refer them to my worst enemy. Kurv is literally out here scamming and robbing small business. They nearly crippled us holding that much fees worst part..... it wasnt fully disclosed until after I already started processing. Should have been a red flag but I missed it. Kurv out here robbing from people during the toughest economic times in recent history. Taking advantage of small businesses. My business funds my nonprofit operation so in essence they clipped my wings on 2 sides. Do they care? Absolutely not. Here is a kicker... I got an email from there customer service person or whatever, Valeria 2 months after I was a client and the subject "we are thrilled to see you activated your gateway" after 2 months of constant emails and phone calls. I wrote about whats been going on, I got an "im sorry" email and absolutely nothing else. Lmao... yes! Lmao because what else you supposed to do other than lmao! If you work with a merchant services and they send you the Kurv app.... run run run. Run from Kurv. Kurv out here scamming Kurv out here taking money from small business Kurv has the worst customer service Kurv lies about their rates 9.10.26 Your response is to appear concerned simply for "show" here. I HAVE 100% emailed and called into your customer service multiple times only to be hung up on, left on hold, talked down too and just all around disrespected. Once I conveyed to the agent that set up my account did I receive an email from the person I referenced earlier. I presented all my concerns to her and other than a basic apology the conversation went unanswered. Remember this is 3 months later to receive an initial welcome email.... after calling numerous time. All initiated from my cell phone so I have the screen shot proof to go along with this. My initial agent was in disbelief as well at the level of trash customer service amd even when he called you, he received the same response I did. Hung up on, transfer loop and talked down too. The word needs to get out about how terrible your comlany and customer service is. The word needs to get out about how you take advantage of people and I hope this does just that. I will also be posting on BBB and every entity that will let me. So take your fake response some place else. Again KURV is a scam that takes advantage of people.

This company is horrible. Doesn’t resolve problems at all. Customer service is horrible. Every team member has an attitude when you talk to them. I highly do not recommend using this business. I’m disgusted beyond measure.

UPDATE — August 26, 2026: After this review was posted and reviewed by Kurv, approximately 50% of the funds being held were released. However, Kurv is still holding approximately $14,000 belonging to our business. We have now been told that we may request the remaining funds to be released on October 16, 2026. To be clear, that is only the date we are allowed to request the release--it does not appear to be a confirmed release date.Over $20,000 Still Being Held Months Later, and They’re Still Charging Us This matter remains unresolved. I will update this review again if and when the remaining balance is actually released. Our experience with Kurv has been absolutely terrible. Kurv initially told us that if we did not implement RDR, our account would be shut down within 7 days. Even though RDR did not make much financial sense for our low-ticket business, we went ahead and got it because we wanted to keep our processing relationship in good standing. After we implemented RDR, Kurv agreed to let us continue processing. Then, just 6 days later, they suddenly changed their mind and told us they were terminating our account anyway. We were essentially given one day to find an entirely new payment processing solution and move our business over. This was despite our actual chargeback rate being under 1%. Kurv then placed over $20,000 of our funds on hold. As of August 8, 2026, all of that money is still being held. What makes this even worse is that we have not processed with Kurv for months, yet they are still charging us monthly fees while continuing to hold over $20,000 of our business's money. So to summarize our experience: we were told to get RDR or be shut down within 7 days, we complied and got RDR, we were told we could continue processing, and then 6 days later they reversed their decision and gave us roughly one day to find a replacement processor. Our chargeback rate was under 1%, they are still holding over $20,000 of our funds months later, and they are still billing us monthly despite us no longer processing with them. If you're considering Kurv, I strongly recommend getting absolutely everything in writing regarding reserves, termination, RDR requirements, how much notice they can give you before shutting down processing, how long they can hold your funds, and whether they will continue charging you after your account is no longer processing. Based on our experience, I would absolutely not recommend Kurv. I will update this review if and when our funds are finally released.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KURV!!! They came up with a lame reason to hold $1800 of mine and it’s been over four months now they never returned my money and they don’t even return my phone calls. I would stay away from these people. They’re gonna rip you off. The managers are so rude and condescending go with Square I highly recommend Square

This is the old EMS credit card… This is the old EMS credit card processor out of Cleveland. They had to change their name because of their horrific reputation. Literally the worst payment process to work with. Do not even consider working with them. They force a reserve on your company - not sure why you would do this to a customer - reserve only HURT their clients - they do not understand this. And they WILL increase your reserve without warning. They increase fees without telling you. They have fees on your statement they can not explain(extra over charges). As you can read in the other reviews, for what ever reason, they constantly put your account on hold. It's impossible to do business processing with this company. As seen in other reviews, you WILL never see your reserve again - it's part of their business model. There are so many of the same stories here. They deserve this review. I hope other read this. Also - once they bleed you dry and your business has to close (because your paying 7%+ in fees plus 10% or 20% reserve) (That at least 17% of your revenue GONE). They WILL sue you. There are hundreds and hundreds of EMS/Kurvpay lawsuits in Cuyahoga county OHIO. This is another revenue stream. Look up EMS in the Cuyahoga county civil courts. Also look up the ower and you can see his dealings - not pretty. You have been warned. There are literally 1,000's of firms to process cards with - choose wisely. ALSO: any postive reviews here were done by new customers OR employees. Not long term experiences.

How many fake reviews are they going to allow EMS/Kurv to have? We reported them to Trust Pilot. Please read the 1 star reviews to get the REAL story. The company that had to change their name because they were so bad.

I was previously with EMS, now KURV, but terminated service with the company when they merged. However, I was charged a fee 6 months later after not being with the company due to some fine print on their statements which I never received and knew nothing about because I am no longer a client. KURV did not refund the charge despite the Rep acknowledging that I would not have received statement notices since I was no longer a client. Good customer service and honest business would dictate a refund in this instance but KURV fails in this area. I do NOT recommend this payment processing business.
