Terrible company
Terrible company. The company is completely backwards. If you have a bill increase (e.g. Spectrum monthly bill goes up), they will always be paying the old amount. If you want to increase to current invoice, you have to manually pay your bills for 3 consecutive months, and only 3 months later can you request KTS to pay your bills if you want the full amount to be paid.
Response from KTS Pooled TrustSep 24, 2026
Ana, thank you for the feedback, and we're sorry for the frustration. We'd like to clarify how this actually works, both for you and for anyone reading, because there's an important misunderstanding here. When a recurring bill increases, such as a cable or utility bill, KTS Pooled Trust does not require you to pay anything out of pocket. You can submit the updated invoice to us at any time, and we will pay the new amount, as we do for every bill submitted. Most members simply submit their bill each month, and it gets paid promptly. The three month guideline applies only to automatic recurring payments, meaning bills we pay every month without you having to submit anything at all. Here's the important context: every New York pooled income trust requires formal documentation, such as a lease or a balanced billing arrangement, to set up an automatic recurring payment, and many won't offer recurring payments otherwise at all. KTS is the only pooled trust that goes a step further and will also accept three consecutive months of an identical bill amount as proof to place a bill on autopay, with no formal documentation needed. We added this option specifically to reduce paperwork for our members. When your bill amount changes, we simply can't know in advance what next month's amount will be, so the bill comes off autopay temporarily. During that time you submit the invoice and we pay it, and once the new amount appears three months in a row, it goes right back on automatic payment at the updated amount. We understand the process may not have been clear, and we'd like to review your account and walk you through the easiest way to handle your billing going forward. Please reach out to us directly and we'll be happy to help. We take every member's experience seriously and would welcome the chance to make this right.
