Coaches upload their game film, we break it down. We provide searchable film clips, box scores, visualizations, and more that can be easily shared with players, recruiters, and media members. We’ll be your video coordinator so that coach can actually focus on coaching.

Great service - wish would have more features and flexibility
Krossover is a great timesaver and scouting tool. Only wish there was more flexibility in the system so that I could cut some films and not have to watch full games if don't get games broken down.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, coach. Giving you more flexibility for your non-broken down games is definitely on the product road map. Glad we were able to save you time and help you with scouting.

Very useful
krossover breaks down the films for me which saves me a ton of time. I wish I could sort my stats in ascending and descending order based on the stat category. I also wish they would guarantee my playoff games. When I perhaps needed it the most (third round of playoffs) I no longer have breakdowns left.

Hey Coach Hokanson, we'll be making some wholesale changes to the stats section next season. Will definitely check to see if sorting in ascending and descending order is on the road map. As for extra playoff games, definitely let your rep know if you are going on a postseason run. Having our teams make deep playoff runs is great for us, so we're almost always willing to toss in a few extra breakdowns to help you win that title.

1st year with Krossover
I think this is an excellent tool for coaches, - does all the stats for you, breaking down games that you down have time to do. I do, however, wish they would put total saves for goalies under "player analytics". Team saves are recorded under Team Analytics, but individual goalie saves are not. If you go under player analytics, it will say how many goals allowed and save percentage. But what if you allow no goals and save percentage is 100% (they list as "1"),... you have no clue how many saves that goalie had. Everything else is great!!

Hey Coach Ball. We are definitely making some changes to the shooting and save metrics for the 2016 season. That section should be greatly improved in 2016. Looking forward to having you on board for another year.

Krossover is really cool, but...
OK, hands down, Krossover is the best game film platform we have ever worked with. It has tremendous upside, customer service was, on the whole, responsive and pleasant to deal with. I think if there is a breakdown/complaint, it would be in the technical realm, and perhaps even more specifically, in the film breakdown/data area. I'm not convinced that the people that broke down our film were/are actually conversant with men's lacrosse. The statistics generated by Krossover often did not jibe with ours, and in many cases, statistics were attributed to "unknown." I'll be the first to admit that our submitted film was not of the highest quality, but I do think that everything was visible, for the most part. I submitted offensive and defensive sets prior to the beginning of the season and we received no statistics pertaining to those.
We WILL be using Krossover again next season, I am hoping that with a little bit of communication, we can improve the experience over the shortcomings of this past season.

Thanks for the comments Coach Ohlen. Glad you had a good overall experience. As for the issues with the quality of your statistics, we are making some big improvements to the platform that our analysts use to index a game. This should allow them to see a clearer picture of the action and result in less unknown players. Looking forward to wow-ing you in 2016!

Very Helpful
Krossover certainly helped our program. It is expensive and the wait time to break down the film sometimes is longer than promised, but the service provided is valuable. I do believe that Krossover helped our program this year.

Glad to hear that Krossover helped your team this year! Disappointed that your game film was not turned around fast enough. We pride ourselves on getting breakdowns back even more quickly than our turnaround time indicates. We will make sure our indexers are aware of this issue and that it is corrected before next season. Hope to have you back on board in 2015-16!

On the way to greatness
Overall great experience.
Things to work on:
1. Per minute options if we provide minutes.
2. Shortened clips for made baskets only, keep sets same length. That way if we are scouting a player we can get through the reel faster.
3. Folders for reels to organize by teams.
4. Upload errors seem to happen frequently on heavy upload nights even on a great internet connection.
5. An app.

Glad you had a great experience with us! We'll forward your suggestions over to our engineering team and make sure they are on our radar as we look to improve our platform. For 2015-16, there will definitely be a mobile app for Apple and Android, plus a brand new uploader that will make things run even smoother.

Pros & Cons
This was my first year using Krossover, and I'm currently undecided if I will continue with the subscription for next season or not.
Pros:
Someone else logs the hours to breakdown the film (HUGE)
Ease to share film with recruiters
Easy to sort & find specific possessions
Relatively fast turn-around time for breakdowns
Cons:
Many times the person doing breakdowns struggled to identify correct players or claimed difficulty in reading numbers which made stats inaccurate
No mobile app for players to watch film
No tracking mechanism to see which players had logged in to watch film and for how long
Cost is a burden for HS coaches compared to other programs
Response from KrossoverApr 14, 2015
Thanks for sharing your pros and cons. We hope to have you back on board in 2015-16. We'll have a mobile app for Apple and Android, last login visibility to track when your players accessed their account, and HD capabilities for the indexers that will mitigate many player identification issues. This will allow us to deliver a near-perfect breakdown that will hopefully justify the cost for your team.
