Said was delivered and it wasn’t. Was told to wait till Tuesday and would be contacted and haven’t.

Knockaround is my go to place for great quality sunglasses. I really only need a couple pairs of sunglasses but for some reason I keep buying more because they come out with more models.

The first disappointment: I ordered a few pairs to Europe, they happily collect the "tax" and claim that I wouldn't need to pay anything extra. But that's a lie. I basically paid the tax twice. Once during the checkout and second time when I got it delivered, UPS didn't release it until I paid the tax. The fact that in the invoice they state the price without any discounts applied, resulted in even bigger local tax. And that leads to the second disappointment: their customer support is not responding to my emails. First, I asked to provide IOSS-number, which is apparently something they could provide since I paid the tax to them. That should have allowed me to use it in my import declaration and not pay any tax again. But they didn't respond. Second, I asked to at least refund the "tax", that I paid to them, since I paid it locally, but again they just don't respond. The third disappointment is the quality of glasses themselves. The frames are nice, look and fit great. But the quality of the lenses is horrendous. The color tint shifts from the center to corners, resulting in different hues whether I look in the center or to the side. The inside of the lens is very reflective, which leads to me seeing the reflection of my own eyes in the glasses. Looking at bright lights like car headlights in cloudy weather produces a doubly image of the lights. The only decent quality lenses are in the pair that uses the "Knockterra" tech. They look like lenses in any decent pair of sunglasses without any color shifts and double reflections. Update: They did respond after more than a week and did a refund of the taxes I had to pay locally. So the customer support does exist, it's just very slow.
