To clarify, our free shipping policy does apply to orders over $89—but as stated in our shipping terms, it excludes oversized or heavy items like hatchets that exceed 3 lbs. Our intent in stating “sizes vary” is to set realistic expectations for handmade and naturally sourced materials, but we recognize that the size difference in your case was more than expected. We could have done a better job clarifying that in our listing, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. As for the return process: our standard policy includes a restocking fee and return shipping, but we offered to waive the restocking fee in your case and only charge the outbound shipping cost. We realize this still left you feeling stuck with the stones or facing a costly return, and for that, we sincerely apologize. Your feedback has prompted us to re-evaluate how we list and communicate details for variable-size items like natural stones. Unfortunately, while you selected 2nd Day shipping, that time frame reflects the service level once the package is in transit—not from the time of your order.
