Although their representative that assisted me with my booking was very helpful, I am very concerned because we booked a package since July for a trip in January 2019 and was told we will not receive our trip documents until 3 weeks before our trip. I have done business with other tour companies and have never had to wait so long for our documents. We have spent a significant amount of money on this trip and I'm very uncomfortable with not receiving the actual confirmation #s from the airline or hotel, all we have is Keytours documents which doesn't even state the name of the airline. I've voiced my concern with the sales representative and she said this is their normal way of conducting business. Unfortunately, if they hadn't redeemed my vouchers from Groupon before notifying me of this waiting period, then I wouldn't have went through with this purchase.

Who is responsible for picking my hotel accommodations if I book a trip through a tour company? I figured it would be the tour company....in this case Key Tours. They chose a hotel for my friend and I in Paris that was totally unacceptable. The reason we use tour companies is because we expect them to know what is good and what is not. Key Tours picked the Villa eugenie for our stay in Paris which were totally unacceptable as listed below. The tour company should KNOW what hotels they are booking for their clients. Please advise if I am mistaken.. My friend and I traveled to Paris and then on to Nice from Miami. We paid for first class hotels (4 stars). The hotel in Paris was HORRIBLE! The front desk clerk (man) was rude and not helpful at all. The elevator did not work. My girlfriend purchased 160 euros worth of perfumes and the perfumes mysteriously disappeared from our room. The safe in the room locked and they supposedly had no way to get in. The breakfast fruit was rancid. They wanted you to leave the key at the front desk when you left for the day. Now we know why! Ultimately, the tour company is responsible for putting us at this hotel. Beware! Hotel Villa Eugenie on 167 Rue de Rome is terrible!

Our actual trip was amazing, however, our travel agent was not very much help at all. She reserved our flights only to find out later they were gone. This happened 3 times. I finally had to reserve our own flights for the trip. Our agent was completely useless. After arriving, we found out that several people on the same itinerary were offered upgrades that we were not. I asked about tours and additional info and she said we are pretty much on our own. There was a flight option rather than an 8 hour ferry ride and our agent did not offer us this. The trip was amazing so I gave a rating of a 2 but the over experience with our agent was a zero. Travel agents are supposed to make your travel a bit easier but this was not the case at all. Wish we would have used a different agency.
