Employee & Candidate S.
Terribly Inadequate For Businesses.
I've been using Keeper Tax for last years taxes for several months, when I discovered that it's not accurately measuring deposits to know my gross revenue (income). The categories are terrible, the exports seem vague, and it produces no profit and loss or balance sheets that I can find. I went back to Quickbooks yesterday after a couple of months of wasted time in Keeper Tax.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback — we really appreciate it. I’m sorry to hear that your experience with Keeper didn’t meet your expectations. Keeper is designed primarily as an expense-tracking tool, which is why you won’t see income totals automatically calculated from your deposits. Instead, we ask users to enter their income during the filing process so we can accurately prepare their return. I understand how that could feel limiting if you were expecting full bookkeeping features. Regarding exports, Keeper provides total expense amounts that can be used—along with your income totals—to create a Profit & Loss statement. While Keeper doesn’t generate full P&L or balance sheet reports on its own, we do offer bookkeeping services as an add-on if you’d like a tax expert to prepare those documents for you. This includes reviewing one dedicated business account and organizing both income and expenses into a usable format. We truly value your input, and your comments help us continue improving the app. If you’d ever like help with your bookkeeping or have questions about the tools Keeper does offer, we’re always here to support you.
