i have had Joy stick problems. When turning left it lunges back and forth like the brake is grabbing. Other than that, all is ok.

The chair would be better with the following improvements: Less sensitive joystick to enable easier steering control. Adaptable adjustable footrest for users with lesser knee flexibility. Height adjustment possibility. Better seating comfort so user can use for longer periods without cramping up. Folding lock and lift up handle for easier vehicle transport.

5stars for price and availability to anyone. I purchased the bigger one, but it tended to tip over going up ramps with my 250 lb husband. So only 1 star for that. I could not lift it myself nor push it up ramp into the back of our van for storing while he sat in front seat of van as I had hoped to do. I am 5'3" and would lose control of it on a ramp pushing it and also trying to hold it while taking down a ramp, without him in it. So again 1star. He was unable to transfer off the side if it as instructed, so the foot support was in the way getting up to stand to pivot and transfer, so not great for our needs there either. It did hold the charge well enough. It did get him around in our house until we could finally order a chair really suited to his needs and size. Since nursing home did nothing to provide for his needs when he had to come home, the ability to get this chair was a Godsend. We ended up needing a mobility van for numerous reasons, and the foldability and light weight of this smart chair would not have been a safe option to use in the mobility van. I would recommend it for smaller people, and those who know they can transfer off the side of it, those with use of both arms, not those with stroke who lost use of an arm.

The chair is wonderful! It has saved my mobility and for that I am truly grateful. The customer service experience when you need something? Not so much. They have ONE PERSON doing everything. Items are shipped from China so when parts are needed there can be shipping delays. Several companies sell this same model. Read the reviews (if they haven’t been manipulated) and be aware of who you’re buying from.
