Review: I am extremely disappointed with Kakobuy's customer service and fake insurance policy. I paid full insurance for my parcel (05163003749332), but they refuse to honor it. My package has been stuck in transit for 46 days with zero tracking updates for over a month. DPD confirmed they only received an electronic label and never physically received the parcel. Despite clear proof that the package is lost, support agents (Yiyi/Yaya) keep sending the exact same automated copy-paste responses telling me to "remain patient" without giving any concrete deadline or opening a formal claim. Do not trust their insurance service. I am filing a chargeback with my bank and will only update this review once my insurance claim is paid in full.

My biggest problem with Kakobuy is not even the shipping issue itself — it is their absolutely unacceptable customer service. I have repeatedly contacted their customer service and explained the same thing over and over: I paid for a specific courier/shipping service, so either ship my parcel through the service I paid for, or, if certain sensitive items such as batteries are preventing shipment, remove those items with my permission and ship the rest through the original service. Instead, they simply decided on their own to switch my parcel to another shipping service and then demanded an additional $60 from me. What gives you the right to make decisions about my money and my parcel without my consent? This is my money. I paid for a specific service. You cannot simply choose a different, more expensive service on your own and then tell the customer to pay the difference. What makes the situation even worse is the customer support. I have asked them the same questions repeatedly, and every time I receive essentially the same copy-paste response. They do not properly address the actual questions I am asking. There is no meaningful explanation, no proper solution, and no responsible person willing to take ownership of the situation. A customer deserves basic respect and a clear explanation, especially when their money has already been taken. If your system does not allow lithium-battery items to be shipped through a particular service, then the parcel should have been checked before taking the shipping payment. You should not take the customer's money first and only afterward tell them that the selected service cannot be used and demand another $60. This is extremely poor customer service and a very frustrating experience. I strongly recommend that potential customers carefully consider Kakobuy's shipping procedures, additional charges, and customer support before trusting them with their money.

Honest I’d give Kakobuy 3/5 stars. The service itself is okay, but the $40 shipping cost wasn’t made clear beforehand. Also, if you refund your order, you only get 80% of your money back and it takes around a whole week to receive the refund. Definitely check all the costs before buying
