Folder protector does not work, and Kaka couldn't care less. I wrote the following (below) to them via their contact email, and they brushed me off with a shrug of the shoulders. "I use Windows 8.1. I downloaded Folder Protector to give it a try before purchasing. The program protects a folder located in the main folder that contains all my photographs, and, to my surprise, when I used the search box in that open folder (the main folder), the supposedly hidden photographs in the protected folder were displayed too. I did an experiment. I opened the protected folder and, before unlocking the protected file, I did a search and, surprise surprise, the protected photographs were displayed and can be opened, viewed, and copied. What is the point of having an encrypted folder if a simple search will reveal what is in it?"

Do not approach this company They block the computer on the pretext that hardware has been replaced while I have not replaced any hardware And now they want money for the opening And they don't answer even to take money Simply shocking customer service!!!!

Don't buy anyprogram from kakasoft.com. if don't want to waste your money.

After buy a software and have a problem there is not any solution for me so i can´t use the software again. Bad company, bad service.

I paid for 2 years of annual subscriptions to Folder Locker when I never wanted it. I was using the free version in 2021 to secure confidential files. I wasn't aware that the only opportunity to add a recovery email was the first time the software ran, because when I forgot my password a year later and went to reset it, there was no option to do so. I had to purchase the full subscription version, the only other way to reset the password in order to get access to my folder back. I then tried to cancel the subscription. Their process is to email in to do so. My email was never acknowledged. Then I was charged again this year for a second round of the subscription. I immediately contacted them to refund the charge and cancel, as I had tried to do the year before. They accused me of lying about trying to cancel the first time and did not provide a refund on the second charge. I have the email trail. Atrocious customer service. Folder Locker the free version works pretty nice though. Just never forget your password!

I bought from them, had a problem that a Feature was not working, still no answer 48 Hours Later

Bought the 10 drive lifetime USB Security. Stopped working after 4 drives (tab comes up saying I used my 10 drives limit). Tried to contact company through their web-site and direct email - got NO REPLY. So, obviously, no customer support as they advertise. It's a great product - but once you buy it your on your own.
