This company is the worst. They have filed taxes incorrectly, they do not know CA laws at all, they are not true HR as they just tell you legally they can't advise you on anything. Trying to access our own old tax records has taken 3 months, notarized documents and a huge headache. Would not recommend to anyone. Don't do it. Save yourself the headache.

Our company was a client of Justworks for 3 years, moving away from a large PEO in hope of a more personalized service suitable for a small business. The sales process was convincing, but the actual experience proved extremely underwhelming. Their system was fine, but their service was absent. Some of the major misses: (1) state compliance - major errors and oversights, especially in WC area; they had no systematic way of finding or fixing gaps in their own systems; (2) lack of basic competence at support level, including account management, unless you get to department heads; (3) plenty of emails and documentation, very little actual issue resolution, which required days on the phone with them to achieve; no clear path to escalation, just going around in circles with the same people; (4) poor interface with Empower, the 401(k) partner/provider - e.g. Justworks forgot to remove terminated employees from the 401(k) plan. I understand the need for process and tools, which is important. But absence of competent service renders this provider irrelevant.

Could not get a concrete resolution to get paid. I was never even able to connect my banking information. The customer support kept saying I'd get an update the next day, and then the next. No updates. Only when I reached back out. Then it was "escalated". Still nothing. When I finally got an update it was "We don't know what's wrong. We're still working on it." Going on day 16 of trying to just put in my information. This was as much of a software and engineering failure as customer service.

Mediocore software; horrible insurance options (they only offer Athena, who is the antichrist) and they sit on your payroll cash forever. If you send an international payement, they will take will debit your account and sit on the cash for 12 days, which is just unethical.

Tried to call them twice and reach out online three times of the course of a week. Never received a response to any of my inquiries. Not the type of teaming partner that I want to risk with my business' success.

Worst payroll company. Poor customer service and Justworks staff is untrained and has done so many errors in our payroll! This company is going to shut down soon if this is how they keep continuing. We stopped using them.

Signed up for the basic subscription but have been getting charged at max rate. Never signed off on it and they can't explain it, wont fix it, and put you through loops to get to customer support. Now am getting fined for "late fees" even though I am auto-debited. They do not know what they're doing and their product does not work.

This may be the worst company I have ever worked with. They have been late in paying my employees every single time. They refuse to respond to my emails other than saying that "Someone will look into this matter." I have been trying to get my employee paid or get them to reimburse the money they took from my account for over 60 days. Using this company is the worst decision I have ever made, don't make the same mistake.
