Stayed with June for a couple of years. Nothing major happened throughout these years. West side is cool and so is the support team that handled the requests. The building managements of NYC are not the best to deal with in general and June was doing that on our behalf in the apartment. I would recommend them for housing for sure.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at June Homes. The photos they advertise are highly misleading — the actual condition of the property was drastically worse. Upon moving in, I discovered visible mould, poor maintenance, and other serious housing code violations. Despite raising these issues promptly, June Homes was unresponsive and unwilling to relocate me, even with documented health hazards. They showed no urgency in addressing the problems, and I had to escalate the matter to local housing authorities. It is unacceptable for a housing provider to ignore tenant safety and basic habitability standards. Avoid at all costs — renters deserve transparency, accountability, and safe living conditions, none of which were provided here.

The overall housing experience was satisfactory, and the customer service met basic expectations. However, one issue that stood out—and seems to be a common concern among residents—is the early approach to relisting units. Management begins showing the room and putting it back on the market as early as one to two months before the tenant’s scheduled move-out date. This process can feel premature and uncomfortable, especially for those who are still considering whether to renew their lease. Given that most individuals have busy schedules and require sufficient time to make thoughtful decisions, I found this aspect to be poorly timed. For that reason, I rated the experience a 6 out of 10.

Thank you for your honest feedback and for sharing your overall experience with June Homes. We’re glad to hear that our customer service met your expectations. We also appreciate your thoughts on the timing of relisting units. Our goal is to balance giving future residents enough time to secure housing while respecting our current tenants’ comfort and decision-making process. We understand how this can sometimes feel premature and will take your feedback into consideration as we work to improve the experience for everyone. Thanks again for your valuable input!

They constantly try to scam me. They got me to sign a year lease for a moldy house, then blamed it on me and tried to trick me over and over. Anything that goes wrong, they make you pay for. If they send a repairman, they won’t tell you when they show up and then they’ll charge you for 100% of whatever they do.
Response from June HomesJul 30, 2025
We take these concerns seriously and want to clarify that June Homes does not engage in scams. All leases and charges are transparent and outlined clearly in the agreement. We work hard to maintain our properties and address maintenance issues promptly. Repair visits are scheduled according to standard procedures, and any charges reflect necessary repairs as outlined in the lease terms. If you have specific concerns, please contact our support team directly so we can review your case and assist you further.

Moved into 3 month rental in Chicago to find 2 over months worth of garbage in the entranceway. June Homes has been slow to react--its been 2 weeks now, phone calls/emails to them, and the garbage is still there, with no date for a solution. Basically they are fast to take your money, but slow to help you if there are any problems.
Response from June HomesJul 30, 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We want to clarify that June Homes takes maintenance and cleanliness very seriously, and we strive to address all issues promptly. When they’re in the wrong, they try to move you into a completely different building and a completely different borough- I think they might be a fake practice. Or they were hoping that I would show up and clean their place up the way I’ve been cleaning up this one and I’m going to continue to send reviews on this because court takes a long time and people need to wake up to what they’re doing. ******In response to your response - 1st - be very careful of what you "accuse me of" in terms of anything at JUNE HOMES in a particular building you "manage" especially as for the "extension" you "claim" I am after.... ONLY ONE WEEK after I began my stay here - you began to harangue me regarding my extension of my lease of 3 months or else my rent would go up - Then have managed - to A) not clean the apartments as you suggest - no I am not the tenant that created the mess here B) Do not adhere to safety standards in the building C) Expect tenants to keep track of any lighting and safety issues for you - mind you some of these people are traveling from around the world with work visas and might be scared not to comply - D) make efforts to illegally raise the rent well above what the law allows - and then of course E) threaten eviction with no just or due cause F) Attempt to relocate me for no apparent reason other than calling your staff out (cleaning and property management) G) Try to rent out my presently occupied room to someone while I am in it with 2 or 3 other rooms available and no offer to me H) Still waiting on the correction of my rent charge and the allowance to move downstairs as requested with a moth to month - which I was told could happen - no charge for cleaning because I have been cleaning up after your staff - I) Believe we have the alphabet being developed as we speak - No WE CARE AT JUNE HOMES needs to contact me - and resolve the issue at hand appropriately - and in timely fashion as we were doing - Rarely does the same agent contact you to resolve anything - AND - look what you say publicly about me - missing key components to the issue on this site - but loving what is going on when you are complimented - NOW that you know who I am by some sense of the word if your company was actually cohesively doing its job - you can reach out to me - my date of experience has been from (1/3/25 to the present day). And each time it seems like JH's will come the rest of the way through - the next minute - an accusation such as this comes from them - that I am on the beggars side - no sir - no sir - Please - if you do not want this list with all evidence posted onto Trust Pilot - in which your tenants rely on a standard of review - I would suggest your resolutions team do as they suggested they would this morning - and I will negotiate accordingly within the law for the health of the building and the sustenance of my livelihood - which is a safe clean free of drama place to live- where I do not spend the majority of the time in communication with your company here with what it lacks - what is good IS good - Things do work out well for some of those you claim to cater to - others get a very strange experience - but what is BAD - need be repaired - thank you for your time - Would it be possible for me to prevent you from renting from JUNE HOMES - I see no full call for this just yet - JUST do your due diligence - lots of nice people in the buildings - not the worst price for what you gain here in the city - but definitely lacking in supplying the services you claim to offer well cleaning/safety - These are the facts - I have been trying to fix this with you gifs for months - now - public outcry with the rest of the promises made by both sides I am sure - And as for any lease extension that I require now, it is partially due to the amount of time that I have wasted, dealing with your administrative staff. I Requested also a relocation downstairs to the first floor based on some extremely unusual circumstances in my life that your company is aware of or people in your company because I have mentioned it, and the reason for my needs are being physical at this time and on one hand, I receive a statement via email that your resolutions team is going to take care of it and on the other hand I receive a response like you get here on trust pilot That’s slightly infantile and missing very pertinent information. I’ve also found you a tenant but I’ve been told by you guys was a six month lease told by him a year lease I don’t care either way whatever- so there you are JUNE HOMES another security measure given to you on the economic front- I’m getting to the point that I’m pretty sure I can complete the alphabet in regard to what’s going on in this particular building in the year 2025 with myself and the contracted employees of the owner of this building- So yes, JUNE HOMES I suppose I use the term fake company in a broad sense. Read the founder's mission statement and tell me if you’re living up to it.

Hi MS, You mention "fake practice" .Yet you received a place to stay and continued to request for an extension. We are unable to understand your stance on this matter. Please reach out to [email protected].
