We were a customer of State Farm over 30 years. When we had property damage and filed a claim, they basically paid nothing. The rates kept going up and they stopped paying claims. So we changed insurance companies, and when we told them we were changing insurance companies, they dropped us that day to be malicious. This caused us to have a 2 day lapse in coverage on our vehicle, which caused us to have to pay a $200 fine, which could so easily have been avoided had they not been so malicious. I would do business with anyone but State Farm because the rates went through the roof and they stopped paying claims.

I used this company for few years
I used this company for few years. I parked my car at a gas station for a few minutes. Someone backed in to my car and left. State Farm reported this as it was my fault. I wasn't even driving or anywhere near my car. Bunch of losers. Stop sending me mail...This company sucks.

Poor Customer Service and Claim Processes
I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent experience with the State Farm claim resolution process.
My vehicle was totaled by a State Farm policyholder, and after two months of delay, I was ultimately forced to seek reimbursement through my own insurance provider. This delay was driven by appraisal issues and poor communication. Both my collision center and I repeatedly attempted to get updates, but struggled to receive timely responses.
The process was further complicated by having three separate specialists assigned to my case. Furthermore, when I requested to speak with a manager, I was informed that they declined to speak with me. I found this refusal to escalate the matter unprofessional.
I hope this feedback leads to improvements in the State Farm customer service and claim handling processes.

I'm a 30+ year State Farm customer. …
I'm a 30+ year State Farm customer. Someone hit my car, very low impact, no injuries. State Farm determined me not at fault. Her insurance (Farmers) refused to also pay which forced me to file a claim w/my insurance. Initial estimate was well within the amount that would keep it from being declared a total loss.
The autobody shop found additional repairs needed once they took off the bumper. It was still within the ratio for what should be been still under the total loss value. I called to speak with the State Farm Claims adjuster and found that they fired all their claims adjusters and now you get to call essentially a fishbowl of "claims representatives", who are poorly trained, can only read from scripts and essentially will not help you. I've had to go to my local agent just to be able to get SOME information, which has helped but mostly their hands are tied.
Then, I find out despite telling State Farm MULTIPLE x that I wanted to know in advance if they were going to send an inspector to look at my car, I find out not only did not do that- they claim that an inspection happened on a Sunday when the autobody shop was closed. The so-called inspection was done by AI, maybe a drone, I don't know. State Farm won't tell me. I did get a call from State Farm essentially ORDERING me to go get my things out of my car because they said I would need to sign over my title to them.
I refused and said I would pick up my car that they were not getting it. I try to call this person back at State Farm corporate and they have an AI screener before you can even try to get to a live human and if you don't answer the questions EXACTLY they way the bot expects, the call is terminated. They don't respond to emails for days or even longer. Say they will call and then don't call.
Then, when they do call without any advance notice, like they think that I don't have a job and can be available at their beck n call. I am absolutely disgusted with State Farm.
All these insurance companies need to be busted up. They no longer care about customer satisfaction. It would seem CEO/ Pres, Joe Farney has very much lost his way starting as an intern in 1993. Making $24.5M/year and all the bonuses he gets to find ways to scr3w their customers, they don't give a D@M about their customers, much less long term customers.
SUE THE HELL OUT OF THEM!!!! Hey, if someone can get this message to CEO, Mr. Michael Tipsord. 'm.tipsord .....statefarm.com' let him know he has a VERY ANGRY CUSTOMER!!!! I refuse to be a doormat just because they think they can bully people without consequences.

Statefarm will lie to not payout
Statefarm will lie to not payout. They are not a good neighbor. You will have to sue them for them to pay you. If I told my experience with them it will be 3 pages long. They are scam artist that will do everything in their power to not payout your claim.

State Farm adjusters lie
My State Farm adjuster has awarded the man at my auto accident, whom I believe was not insured, lied to my insurance adjuster and he did not provide proof of insurance at the scene, I feel that the man lied to my adjuster and my adjuster made the decision without looking at my photos of an accident with an uninsured person. The accident was at the bottom of the hill on a frozen slope, blocking all lanes blocking all traffic, both directions, I feel the adjuster made a decision, post haste, and didn’t want to change it when she got the facts and left the accident which I wasn’t even there for all my fault, State Farm adjusters have been in trouble before for this yet they still are making up their own facts that absolutely were not even possible. The actual date of this was January 19,2024.

The "Good Neighbor" that was State Farm has moved!
I have had State Farm literally all my life. Both of my parents were State Farm employees with one in claims and the other retired as my states underwriting superintendant. As my Dad had you pay your own bills I've had their car insurance for 55 years. Several days ago I discovered my insurance draft this month was going to be 500-600 dollars lower and called to find out what the issue was as I wanted to be sure it drafted correctly. It took my agent several days to run it down but I was finally told that State Farm was cancelling my policies effective 04/29/2026. When I questioned why I was told it was for excessive claims. I have had, in the last 3 years, 3 actual accident claims only one of which was at fault and it cost them $1700. There is a lot of road construction in my area and I have had some comprehensive claims, i.e. windshields the only ones of which I turned in were because they created a vision obstruction and violated the law. They are paid over a $1000 per month for this coverage (for years) and and have never had a bit of problem cashing my checks. Whoever is running this company now has turned it into a poor copy of what it used to be. To add insult to injury they never directly notified me they were doing this, it was just a short paragraph on a bill I admittedly don't read unless I make a change as it's paid by bank draft. Use them at your own risk but don't expect any loyalty from them as your tenure as their insured means nothing.
