I have been working as a pal since the end of May. For some reason I've been suspended for 7 days...I don't know what I did wrong. So far I have completed 83 visits. I do absolutely love working for this company regardless of my current situation with them. I just feel bad for a week I can't help anyone. I'm still learning new things with this company. The only thing I wish they would work on is a little bit more communication. Like my current situation as an example. I had 2 visits today and when I have problems I always call the company, so I'm just stumped what happened and I hope to be back soon and hopping right back in to help more people that needs it.

Papa is great because it gives seniors the opportunity to receive extra help and companionship as needed. Working with seniors has been wonderful. You make many new, great relationships and the seniors are so appreciative. The pay is definitely not the best but the feeling you get from making a difference is very rewarding.

I use this service through Cigna. It was difficult to get set up, and communication was not very good. The first person didn't show up, and I couldn't get the phone number for Papa Pals to reschedule. Then I found out Cigna has their own Papa Pals number. A few weeks later, a woman called for a well-care check. She was really nice and I ended up chatting more with her. We talked about costs going up, demographics, the weather, etc. The socializing was good for me. We scheduled for her to call back in a month. That chat was great also because I mentioned I'm Christian and we talked about the Lord. Just not able to do that much anymore with pressure to be politically correct. Then, a guy came by to paint a wall in my bathroom for me. I couldn't believe they had this service! He was punctual, nice, and professional. He did a good job. I will continue to use the service. I was disgusted with one experience I had. I asked for a woman I now know by name, trust to take a check and go shopping for me. Without me. (48 hours in advance for tomorrow, 22/1/31.) I asked for the woman specifically. Today a man called and said he was to come pick me up tomorrow. It's a relatively sensitive thing. I told him I was asking for someone else. It was very embarrassing for me to tell him I wanted someone else. I should be told by you if you do not allow someone specifically to be picked. Or if someone is sick and can't make it, etc. Please tell me what to do in such situations. On a different subject, it seems to me you have a great idea. It all depends on the institutions supporting and financing you. That's where the main problem will occur. Next in line of problems is getting workers to fill your slots. (I know how difficult it must be for any corporation to get this sort of help.) But I wish you all the luck that you'll be successful. I was successful in getting the woman I mentioned to clean for me then to drive for me several times. What do you mean by "Verify to post your review" below; and what follows? 'By continuing..." etc.?

I’m a customer/client of Papa I love the service that I have received. I have used Papa for my travel needs. This service has been great for me since I’m not able to drive due to my condition. But the phone service is not great at all. I start calling at 8:02am and can’t reach anyone to cancel an appointment. That’s poor customer service. The return call is more than 24 hours. I’m not sure if the company has bit over more than they can handle or poor management.

I’m giving 4 stars because this is service is sorely needed and the Pal, Phillip, who visited my father was great. He called me on the phone, went over details regarding my dad, called after his visit, and is very patient. I’m only not giving it 5 stars because it’s difficult to contact Papa to set up the visit. Three times I’ve requested a call back and didn’t receive one until 1-3 days later. Few other times I’ve stayed on the phone and it takes 5 min on hold. That’s better but wish it would be quicker. Also wish I had other options to contact, like email or chat feature on website. I was told that they are hiring more so I hope it gets better.
