DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR LOVED ONE IF THEY EVEN DO SHOW UP
This review is probably not helpful because I doubt anyone chooses "Papa" because they actually want to deal with their pointless "service." I am sure most people are stuck with this scam as the only choice via their insurance. I can only imagine the only reason they continue to exist is because of sweetheart behind-the-scenes deals between the owners and insurance companies. Whatever you do, do NOT book their "services" assuming that someone will actually show up for the "scheduled" appointment - even though they will send you a text "confirming" the appointment. As many times as not, no one has shown up. When someone does show up, do not count on them not being strung out and high on drugs by all appearances. If you do get lucky and get a good person, do not count on that person lasting long because Papa so underpays them that they do not stay long with the company (from our experience.) This service is only for people who don't really need it and it would just be nice if someone showed up when you scheduled them. If you are a care taker of a loved one and you think you are going to schedule someone to be with your loved one who can not be left alone while you leave the home to take care of chores for your loved one, you would be a fool to trust that, if they show up, that your loved one would be safe being left alone with that person. One example, came home to find my loved one distraught and his beloved tiny dog placed on a high shelf so he, who has Alzheimer's, could not reach to save his dog. Disgusting, dangerous, and, more times than not, a pointless "service." If you are making your medicare choices for the next year, I would highly recommend you NOT choose this "service" as one of your options - choose something that might actually be helpful and can be trusted with your loved ones.
