Our son recently attended the Outset Pediatric Summer Camp held at the UCLA campus, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the program. From start to finish, communication was exceptional. Justin, the Camp Director, was absolutely amazing and did a fantastic job keeping parents informed throughout the entire week. As a parent, it was very reassuring to receive consistent updates and know that our child was in a safe and well-organized environment. Although the camp was only one week long, our son came home with so much new knowledge, many new friendships, and even more excitement about his future. This experience truly solidified his dream of becoming a medical professional. He was inspired by everything he learned and is already asking to return next year. We are incredibly appreciative of what Outset is doing for students who are passionate about medicine and healthcare. Programs like this give young people the opportunity to explore their interests, build confidence, and connect with peers who share similar aspirations. Thank you to Justin and the entire Outset team for providing such a meaningful and memorable experience. We highly recommend this program to any family with a child interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

This was the first time our daughter had been to an academic program and a first to be without a single friend she knew. That quickly changed from the moment she arrived at UNC-Chapel Hill. From the helpful staff and smooth drop off, to picking her up a week later, we barely heard from her all week except her photos of a new skill she'd learned (e.g., injections, intubation, and stitches)! She was proud of what she had learned and loved making new friends! We look forward to sending her and her younger sister to another program next summer.

My daughter got a very handson experience into the field of dentistry . The lectures were very informative and the directors of the program were very well organized . Communication was amazing from the start to the end . I highly recommend this program to any student who is interested in any field of healthcare offered by outset .

My daughter attended the UCLA Anesthesiology Program. She enjoyed it so much. She stated the information that received was amazing and helped her see exactly if she still wanted to be an Anesthesiologist in future and there was so much excellent information given to her about this field. She loved it.

Outset was exactly what I needed at the time. Going into 11th grade, I had so many questions about how I was going to beef up my college applications and what the next steps in my high school career (and even later than that) would look like. As a perfectionist, I believed that I needed to compare myself to my peers and tried to juggle a million things in order to be like them. But coming to outset and being able to ask the questions that I had about the field to qualified physicians already there was refreshing and definitely relieved many of the stresses I had about the coming years of training and schooling. Having that community that shared my ambitions and passions was something I never had experienced before and I'm glad that Outset provided me that outlet. Ultimately, I'm so grateful to the Outset team for allowing a place where I could finally be myself and learn more about the surgical field and what it entailed. Thank you to Justin, Sharon, Milena, Felix, and all of the Outset team @ UCLA for such an amazing experience and I hope that prospective campers choose Outset to explore careers they are interested in!!! :)

Outset was the most incredible medical immersion I have ever done. The experiences and exposure were eye-opening, especially for a teenager who would never have imagined doing something like this. I got to do surgical simulations and talk to real physicians and health advisors, which was super helpful for my own understanding of medical pathways. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and my director made the week so much fun! Would 100% recommend to high schoolers who are seriously interested in medicine and healthcare.

Andi had so much fun at Vanderbilt surgery camp and the counselors and directors were awesome. She met so many new friends that are on the same path as her and is already planning her next summer. Thank you for showing her what she has been looking for.

Our daughter attended the Pediatrics program at UNC. We were blown away by all that she learned. She has a real feel for the classes she will need to take in college, how she will be evaluated for medical school applications, basic concepts in medicine (like taking blood pressure, heart rate, administering a vaccine!), and what life will look like as a college/medical student in this path. She also learned about different areas she may want to consider for Fellowship. Honestly we were blown away. She met some great people and enjoyed a lot of the speakers. Her favorite day was when they had actors come in with different issues, and they were tasked with questioning/diagnosing. Overall a great experience!
