This was my daughters first time with Outset. She was at UNC and had an amazing experience. She met wonderful people, fell in love with the program and can't wait to go back next summer. It was super organized, well run and provided her with so many tools to grow from. Highly recommend!

My rising junior participated in a week long program at Columbia University. She enjoyed the general medicine program, her only complaint was scheduling on her second day. The program managers are very responsive and supportive. The counselors made the experience enjoyable as well. I would recommend the program for rising high school sophomore’s and/or Junior’s.

Our 17-year-old son attended the 5-day Pre-Med Camp at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and it was one of the most valuable educational experiences he has ever had. Coming from New Jersey, he was welcomed into a community of talented, motivated students from across the country. He formed wonderful friendships that we know will last well beyond the camp, and being surrounded by peers who shared his passion for medicine was incredibly inspiring. The program itself exceeded our expectations. The hands-on medical simulations allowed students to step into the role of physicians, evaluate patients, make clinical decisions, and experience the challenges and rewards of practicing medicine. These experiences made healthcare come alive in a way that no classroom or textbook ever could. What impressed us most was the quality and accessibility of the professors and mentors. Our son had countless opportunities to ask questions, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn directly from experienced medical professionals. Every interaction deepened his understanding of medicine and strengthened his confidence in pursuing this career. The greatest outcome of the camp is that it gave him clarity about his future. He returned home more motivated than ever, fully convinced that medicine is the path he wants to pursue. He now has a clear goal of becoming a Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology, and this program played a significant role in helping him make that decision. As parents, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your child return home inspired, more confident, intellectually challenged, and excited about the future. We are deeply grateful to everyone who organized and taught in this outstanding program. Their dedication, professionalism, and passion for educating the next generation of healthcare professionals were evident in every aspect of the experience. We wholeheartedly recommend this program to any high school student considering a career in medicine. It is not simply a camp—it is a life-changing experience that gives students the knowledge, confidence, inspiration, and direction to pursue their dreams.

My daughter was in the anesthesiology program. She had an AMAZING time. She got to incubate the simulator, delivery a baby, and do sutures. She has not stopped talking about the experience since leaving on Friday. She will definitely be back. The staff was very pleasant. Communication was great. We were informed every step of the way. Outset is a valued experience for any scholar looking to explore areas of their desired career.

Michael loved the camp. He had attended a camp at a different school although he did not stay in dorms and he said this one was by far the best. The only negative thing he said was that it is disappointing that he became friends with some of the students but may not see them again. I believe he was the youngest. He turned 14 on July 10.

My son came back home with so many stores to tell. He was so happy with the whole experience. He stated it was the best week of his life. He loved his counselors but was so happy to have Diego who was so kind helpful and gave so much positive advice. In all, he addressed that everyone was full of positivity and happiness. He loved the simulation rooms and food! He can’t wait to try and go back next year!

My daughter really loved the whole experience. It was well-planned, had wonderful presenters, focused on building community, and gave a thorough insight to the law profession. My daughter said it was her favorite part of her summer.
