My teen had a great experience with Outset. The staff was kind, helpful and enthusiastic.

After my outset program, I understand what it takes to become a doctor and I have a better idea of what med school would look like. The opportunities offered during my outset program were incredible like practicing IVs and practice interactions with patients. Also, the environment was welcoming and supportive. Everybody (attendees and counselors) were nice and counselors made sure everybody’s needs were met. I loved this program and would recommend it!!

My daughter attended the Pediatric program at UNC this summer break. She LOVED it... she was able to learn new things and meet great people that are now friends. So glad she had this experience. Thanks!!!

Outset was an amazing experience for my daughter. She gained important knowledge through classes, mentoring, simulations and hands on training. The counselors, profesors, resident assistants and all the staff were amazing and really have the students a real life picture of what a medical school experience would be like.

The program was well run, very informative, and fun. My daughter got out of the week long camp what she was hoping to and more. The counselors were great and supportive, the lectures were extremely helpful, interesting and useful while the hands on experiences further solidified the experience with what my daughter described was real-life activities. It was the perfect fit for her and one I think we are all very thankful was offered.

Our son loved this experience! He is already looking forward to another Outset session next year. The staff is dedicated, supportive and positive; making the whole process smooth and worry-free for families. He was highly impressed and well-connected with the physicians who spoke and conducted clinicals and also impressed with the "specialized patients". The excursions and the hospital visits were excellent. Columbia is a beautiful campus and an awesome opportunity to get a glimpse of college life. It is a well-rounded experience, highly recommend!

My daughter enjoyed her experience with the General Surgery team at UNC, Chapel Hill Summer 2026. The day I picked her up, she immediately said she wanted to enroll for next year. She has attended many programs, but Outset tops all the others in terms of the learning experiences and the networks she made. Outset provided her full scholarship which made it possible for her to attend this wonderful program. The staff are amazing and extremely kind and professional. My daughter said she felt safe around campus with such active and attentive camp counselors. We are considering next year (2027) global programs and becoming part of Outset Alumni and Ambassador family. Thank you so much Outset staff for providing my daughter with financial aid. I would not have afforded this program were it not for your considerations. Forever grateful parent!

My daughter recently attended the Vanderbilt Pediatric session and absolutely loved it! Not only did she make wonderful new friendships, but the trip also helped her narrow down her interests for college. She thoroughly enjoyed the lectures, the hands-on experiences, and getting her first real taste of campus life, especially since she had never been away from home before. She is already counting down the days until next year! Thank you Outset so much for giving her such an amazing experience.
