Beware: Possible “Bait‑and‑Switch” on Friday Health’s 3‑Month Sema Subscription
I want to flag a troubling billing experience that other customers should know about: * April 12, 2025** – I purchased the *3‑Month Sema Subscription* advertised at **\$699** minus a **\$100 promo code**, so I paid **\$599** up‑front for coverage from **April 11 – July 11, 2025**. * Later in April** – Friday Health *unilaterally* refunded \$100 and flipped my plan to a **\$249/month** subscription, claiming the discount “was meant for the first monthly payment.” No one asked my permission to change terms. * May 6, 2025** – Even my Friday Health doctor couldn’t tell whether I was on a monthly or 3‑month plan. He escalated the issue to billing. * May 6‑7, 2025** – Patient Support told me Friday Health “no longer offers a 3‑month subscription with a 3‑month medication supply.” That would be fine—except the **same 3‑month plan (with the \$100 promo)** is still live on their website and app. I sent them screenshots. * Their latest reply: “The 3‑month subscription is available, but refills and shipments will still be monthly.” In other words: pay up front, but get billed monthly service anyway. Why this matters! 1. Changing contract terms after payment feels like classic bait‑and‑switch. 2. Mixed messagesvfrom support and my own physician undermine trust. 3. Advertising a plan you say no longer exists is misleading at best. What I’m asking Friday Health to do * Honor the 3‑month subscription I purchased **and** apply the advertised \$100 discount. * Provide clear written policies so customers aren’t blindsided. * Train support staff so answers are consistent across departments. Until then, new customers should proceed with caution and double‑check every charge. Update Friday May 9, 2025 Ridiculousness. At having to repeat myself. Now they’re asking if I want to change my subscription from 1 month to 3 months, which was my original plan. Now they are asking for my permission. I stated again, yes, AND to apply the $100 discount. Now, they are denying that I’m eligible for the discount as it’s for new patients only. Seriously. I’m not making this up. At every turn, there’s denial on their part with ZERO accountability as I have to waste my time, repeatedly, to state the same facts over and over again. Super sketchy way to do business.
