While their shipping and availability to doctors was good, the problem I had was that they did not disclose the fact that their company does not give you standard dosages as what’s expected with these drugs- for example, instead of being on 12.5 mg I am on 11.125. They also do not go up to the 15 mg maintenance dose. Nowhere on their website did they tell you this. They lure you in with significant discounts if you pay for a year in advance which they will not refund you any portion of unless you were denied the medication. As a result, I am stuck taking 11.125 mg when I should be on 15 mg until the subscription runs out, which means I will not reach my weight goal as they promised in the time span that I should. Unless you want sub standard dosages, I would not use this company. 

My experience with the compounded GLP-1 from Friday Weight Loss was significantly different from my experience taking FDA-approved Wegovy. The biggest difference for me was the effect on appetite and the desire to eat. When I was taking Wegovy, I experienced a noticeable reduction in cravings and “food noise.” I simply did not think about food or have the same desire to eat. With the compounded version from Friday, I would get physically very full, but I would still have the desire to eat. I could feel that my stomach was full while mentally still wanting food. For me, that is a major difference because reducing that constant desire to eat was one of the most beneficial effects I experienced with Wegovy. I also experienced significantly worse acid reflux while taking the compounded medication than I did while taking Wegovy. That became another major negative aspect of the experience for me. Most importantly, I didn't lose as much weight using the compounded version vs the actual Wegovy. Based on my personal experience, I do not believe it should be presented to patients as though it will necessarily provide the same experience or effects as FDA-approved Wegovy or Ozempic. I think patients should be given very clear information about the fact that compounded medications can be different and about the potential implications before deciding to purchase them. Everyone may respond differently, but for me the compounded version was not comparable to Wegovy. Between the lack of appetite suppression, increased acid reflux, and minimal weight loss, I was very disappointed with the treatment.

*Update-I received the meds and apologies from the company as well as a partial refund. It took some time, but finally got someone to recognize the issue with the medication. Hopefully this was a one time issue! I’ve only been a customer for one month and so far nothing has gone right with getting my prescription. I got my initial meds 4 days after shipping (received warm). Then they tell me time to request a refill, I do that and am told I requested too early. Fine, they “accept” my request 4 days later. Now, 8 days after my request has been approved still no sign that it is going to be shipped. I keep getting a standard response of “it’s approved, should be shipping soon”. My med date is tomorrow, with no sign of any meds. Seems as though this is not an isolated incident. I paid for 3 months, but after that they will need to make some serious changes if they would like a return customer.

They are very unorganized. I have had an issue almost every single month and then trying to get it resolved sometimes makes it worse. The first month they sent me the wrong medication. They have forgotten to send medication before but they always make sure to debit my account! Currently I’m waiting on the medication and it will now be late. Not sure how that will affect me. Haven’t lost much weight at this point. It may be a little cheaper but not sure how affective this company is. You may want to compare some other companies in addition to this one.

Things were going well for a while, and then I tried to save money by getting a six month subscription. They stopped sending me reminders to refill which caused my refills to be delayed. Then they told me I had to go back and start from the beginning dosage, which was not effective. It feels like they trick people into getting a long-term subscription and then do everything they can to get you to go back to the beginning so they can intern get more money out of you.

Getting signed up is easy. I received my medication really fast, but there’s absolutely no guidance. I received my medication I had an appointment with my provider but after 3 cancelled appointments I finally received a call from the provider. This made me feel very uneasy as I had many questions before starting. I ordered 3 month supply to save money and yet again when I wanted to increase my dosage I got the run around and again 3 cancelled appointments appointments until I was able to get in touch with a provider. This is very unprofessional.

I haven't lost anything in 10 months. It's overpriced and I won't be using them anymore when my year is up.

I renewed my medication request, they approved it- for the wrong medication! I’ve been with Fridays for a year now. This is a first. Now they’ve acknowledged the error and have escalated to the clinical team, but NO ONE will fix it! They are less responsive than ever. This is so frustrating because they just keep giving AI Chatbot responses and there seems to be no one who can fix the issue and send the proper medication. These delays in reordering have me worried that they don’t have the access to compound Tirz that they claim to?
