Received medication (sometimes), but at what cost
1) First telehealth appointment - provider did not show after waiting 30 minutes and eventually reached out 45 minutes late. Support was absolutely no help in rescheduling, would not let me cancel and forced me to reschedule. Provider eventually called me on my cell. Medication did come quickly in 2 days. 2) 2nd visit with provider - they disconnected the call accidentally mid-call and left me no way to re-join the appointment. Support could not help. Provider ended up calling me. This time medication took longer to come 4ish days. 3) 3rd refill was easy - no provider visit. Continued to get emails saying medication was delayed - ended up being about 6 days from Rx being sent to pharmacy to getting a shipping notification. Shipping date was the date of my next injection. Package was shipped, but tracking never updates and gets stuck across the country. Try to contact Embody support and they continue to tell me that once the package is picked up by FedEx its not their problem and the medication will arrive. I continue to explain that the medication is refrigerated and its been literally 5 days of it being in transit and it has to be melted, but support could've cared less. Stated that they would not process a refund or a replacement. Stated to call back if the medication arrives and its melted. Guess what - it arrived two days later and the ice packs completely melted and the medication bottle was literally warm. I call support again. They say they're sending the case to a Medical assistant who will review the situation and then most likely send a new RX to the pharmacy - could not give a timeline and stated they would most likely expedite it. Refused to give a refund even though I'm 2 weeks past my dose date. I cancelled my subscription obviously because its been nothing but a headache this entire time. I will look else where for weight loss medication management - there are so many on the marketplace and surely better customer service because the bar is on the floor. What really killed me was after I cancelled and cited "poor support" as the reason they came back with an offer for 'free' premium support if i re-join. You have to pay $9.99 a month to actually get customer support. They obviously do not care about customer experience or outcomes. Each time I went on chat to see about my order, once they gave me the canned response about how it was FedEx's problem, they immediately disconnected. All support agents were extremely unhelpful and just ran through the same script over and over. I was never able to speak to a supervisor. Edit: Someone from Embody called me about my review. They are finally looking into my refund AND are hoping to get me my medication in a timely manner. However, they did ask me to remove my review since they were taking action upon my concerns. I have edited my review with this information and adjusted the rating accordingly, but it would be unethical for me to remove my other concerns re: shipping time/customer service and the business as a whole. I have cancelled my subscription and will not be continuing business with them and would advise others to look elsewhere.

We appreciate you sharing such detailed feedback about each stage of your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the repeated issues you experienced throughout the process, from missed and disconnected provider appointments to delays with your refill and the shipping concerns you encountered. We understand how frustrating it was to receive repeated notifications about delays while your medication was in transit, particularly given your concerns about the temperature-sensitive shipment. We’re also sorry that, after the medication arrived in the condition you described, you still had difficulty getting a clear resolution regarding a replacement or refund. We’d like the opportunity to review your appointment history, prescription and refill records, shipping information, and previous support interactions to better understand what happened and address your concerns. - Embody Team
