A day of selling, not training
Everything was very organized and professional. However, it was not at all what I expected. Basically it was a rah rah session. A motivation session. And it seems everyone speaking was instructed to pay homage to John Maxwell. It was much more about Maxwell and Maxwell training than any actual training. That is, a big selling session throughout the day. The music was very loud and dreadful. Lots of orchestrated dancing. Jesse Itzler freely used four letter words. Tebow was good but certainly no training session. I'm assuming he was there because his name draws people! Stephanie Chung seems like a delightful person. However, her exercises were strange and uncomfortable (find someone you don't know and look into each others eyes for two minutes). Really?? I still can't figure out why she was there. Ryan Leak was a good speaker and did some training. I would never ever attend another Maxwell seminar. 75% of it was a total waste of time. I do like Maxwell and just ordered three of his books. My advice: order his books, forget the hoopla of his seminars.
