There are lots of religious references that for some can be offputting if they are not a Christian, and I believe some are not as diplomatic as others, but still is quite in your face.

Hi Georgiana, Thank you for your valuable feedback. Yes, you are right there are some religious references and points made at various times at the IMC and in some of the JMT teachings. One big reason for this is that John C. Maxwell is a self-professing Christian and his writings and teachings are founded in his Christian beliefs and values. I know at times for some who may not hold to the same beliefs or values that John holds to it can feel like a little much. One way of thinking that might be helpful is this: You and I would not go to hear a mechanic speak on how he has made his business great and never expect him to reference the values, beliefs, principles, and business practices that have lead to the success that he now experiences in his life. I think the same can be said when hearing John and the staff of one of his companies teaching on what has lead to their success. People in general, including you and I, always have a tendency to speak from what is most meaningful and valuable to them and the same can be said of John. His faith and beliefs as a Christian is of great value to him and will always be a part of his teachings in one way or another. However, I do believe that we both can agree that John is very diplomatic and self aware when sharing his personal beliefs and values at the IMC and in his teachings. Georgiana, Thank you for being such a valuable member of the JMT. I don't know about you but I am very grateful that the JMT is a melting pot of people from various beliefs and backgrounds from all over the world coming together to add value to others and bring about positive change to the leadership culture of our world. Thanks again for your feedback. Yours In Growth & Success Member Services
