After waiting a month for the engine I paid for I called JDM only to find out they never even had the motor they claimed to have and that they were still trying to find me one so I requested my money back which I still have not received. This seems like a big money scam

Engine was wrecked, fraudsters refused to honor warranty.
These fraudsters sold me a trashed engine. The timing chain was so slack it was almost falling off the gears, and cylinder 2 had no compression and was misfiring at idle. Absolute garbage. Would not trust this company ever again. I changed my review from 3 stars to 1 star after discovering that the misfire at idle was due to low compression in one of the cylinders. After eliminating spark plug, coil, and fuel injector as possible culprits, a compression test showed only 60 psi on #2. It seems they just throw a random engine in a crate and send it to you, and it's sheer luck whether it works or not. Now they're refusing to make good. I have documentation proving the defects from earlier than 30 days in, and they still refused to let me file a warranty claim. No big surprise that half the reviews of this company are unfavorable.
Response from JDM ENGINE ZONEMar 28, 2023
Hello, we have requested documentation of a compression test being performed and you have refused stating that we should take your word for it. Unfortunately, that is not how it works and we do need evidence to submit any warranty claim. Our entire and very comprehensive warranty policy can be reviewed here: https://jdmenginezone.com/pages/wrc

Was not happy about not being able to receive the product I ordered 😒 very disappointed

We are sorry you are unhappy. We would like to explain a bit more what happened.. the shipping preference for the item ordered was "delivery to a business or nearby terminal" but the address provided as the ship to was actually a residence. We established this via google maps. We do offer residential delivery service, but there is an additional fee. When we reached out to you regarding this issue you stated that "if we can not get this item to place you wanted it to go, for the price you paid we should cancel it" so we did. You have gotten a full refund, sorry it did not work out. Our entire shipping policy can be reviewed here where we clearly explain all of our shipping options https://jdmenginezone.com/pages/shipping-info

Ordering and pickup of engine was easy and efficient. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful with questions asked, during pickup process as well. Engine was as advertised and runs flawlessly, not a straight drop in. Again this was advised of as well, treat as a long block for original engine. Only negative, engine should be created for pickup.
Response from JDM ENGINE ZONEMar 28, 2023
Thank you for your order. It has been our pleasure to get you the engine you need!

The engine was damaged beyond typical shipping and when I sent pictures they said I should read the fine print
Response from JDM ENGINE ZONEMar 28, 2023
Hello, We have reviewed your claim. There was nothing wrong with your engine. The pictures you sent showed cosmetic damage to the external accessories we included as free gifts. What we really sell and warranty is the block and the head and their internal performance. We do not cover any sensors, solenoids. or external accessories which include but are not limited to the intake, exhaust. altnernator, power steering pump, oil pan, pick ups, valve covers, timing covers, etc. Our entire warranty policy can be found here https://jdmenginezone.com/pages/wrc
