My hubby and I are not spring chickens and yet we are able, in the comfort of our own home, to select an instructor and dive right in to learning to play the guitar. Prior to Jamplay we had tried several other methods, including having a lesson in a studio. What we love about Jamplay is availability when WE want it: stop start, review, do over, skip ahead, whatever we feel we need. The supplemental materials are right there, too. We print them out, set aside time each evening, and see what new things we'll learn. We love David isaacs' beginner lesson series! I have had the Jamplay Lick of the Day App for a couple of years, even before I had my guitar! I guess I thought I might learn by osmosis. Didn't happen. Jamplay is simply professionals teaching. We are impressed with every single aspect of the program and options. I've already recommended it to several friends for themselves for for their kids who want to learn guitar.

I am very delighted with JamPlay. The site offers instruction in a wide range of genres, which for a beginner like me offers a chance to explore and determine where I want to focus. The instructors all seem to be experienced and thus able to know where students will hit rough spots and what to do about it. Others instructors I've seen outside JamPlay often don't give detailed explanations, which makes the lesson not worth the time. I appreciate having sheet music I can print to use for practice. I can't master this stuff just going through it a couple times.

I started at age 15, played a lot through high school and college, but never took lessons. At age 55 I've discovered the power of taking lessons and doing it online just makes sense. I'm ready to attend camps now and have a better than base understanding of how the guitar actually works! JamPlay is making it easy to learn at my own pace and schedule.

Having started playing back in the late 70's then played in bands though until mid 80's the guitar has since been more of a piece of furniture. I really did feel now at 53 that I wanted to start to really learn again and take my level of playing further. I stumbled across Jamplay and it has really inspired me to start again. I can work through and with the technology of playing through my iPhone I can do it without too much disturbance to others. The videos are really good bite size lessons, but I do think there should be a better way of picking up where you are up to. Unless I am doing something wrong it does not seem to retain my history. Also, it would be great to be able to play through Garage Band app and Jamplay at the same time. I find that I cannot open both continuously so have to play through an iPhone with Garage Band and then have Jamplay on a separate iPad. Look forward to more hours of learning...thanks.

The guys at play jam are great teachers, it’s almost like they can read your frustrations and difficult moments without even ever knowing you, I have been getting lessons from Steve Eulberg, and I must say when I first started he was the most pleasantly annoying teacher I have experience to date, in the most nicest way possible, every time I had a problem or was going to throw the towel in he would make it easier, I’m sure there’s a hidden camera somewhere as he seems to know my frustrations at the exact moment and encourages you to keep moving forward. Two months later what all seemed impossible, music suddenly appeared, even my mistakes sound like music, thanks heaps Steve.

Jamplay has a nice mix of lesson genres and instructors. Starting off with the basics, you can then progress to more advanced concepts. Short lesson segments so they are not too daunting to tackle.

JamPlay is an excellent place to learn, advance,and grow as a guitar player. Many lessons, and many excellent online teachers. Teachers that can answer questions facilitating guitar learning.

I'm a brand new guitarist. Well maybe I' not a guitarist yet but I'm working towards that goal. I've been playing about 7 weeks and JamPlay has been my main source of training from the start.I really enjoy and look foreword to taking my lessons. After taking the lesson I like that I can go back a review the lesson. Their is so much offered at the JamPlay sight. It seems like you covered all the bases. Thanks and keep up the good work.
