This firm is nothing but a scam I implore anyone to stay clear of this scamming firm. It is not a leather tradesman working out of his workshop in the USA but a workshop in China. I ordered a Dakota leather bag which looked great on the pictures but received a bag a third of the size that looked nothing like the Dakota and was fit to be a handbag only, it was also badly marked. They offered me a 5% discount at first that eventually rose to 40%, trying to play on saving the planet rather than sending the item back. It’s a disgraceful company that is a complete scam.

Ordered a motorcycle jacket with very specific sizing and color requests. Not only was the color wrong, it was so poorly made that I couldn't even lift my arms to reach the handlebars on my motorcycle. Their "customer service" amounted to this: offer nothing more than platitudes and delays until they got their money from the credit card company and then going completely dark and no longer responding. DO NOT do business with this company.

The company advertisements are blatant lies. The product is not leather but plastic. False high expectations are created on their deceitful website. The return policy comes to a useless in store credit, so my backpack goes into the bin, another lesson learnt! Complaint replies are nicely worded and AI generated, as are all James' communication to lure you into buyinng more stuff. Shameless people!

I do not recommend James Leather. According to their own policy, James Leather claims a 1–3 business day processing time and 5–8 day shipping window. It took them 8 days just to send me a shipping confirmation (BECAUSE of my multiple emails) and then the tracking number showed no movement for an entire week. It’s now been 13 business days (nearly 20 days total) since I placed my order for a Father’s Day gift, and my item is still missing. No delivery, no update, and no response to multiple emails… or when they do respond, they’re evasive and dishonest. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere.

The first bag i received had a broken zipper which i could not get to operate properly. I understand that things happen but clearly no one is looking at quality control. The zipper was clearly broken and was clearly visible upon opening the package. At this point i reached out to customer service and they made it right (or attempted to). When i went to use the replacement bag for the first time i packed the bag, zipped it up and went to grab it and head out the door. It was then that i noticed the two handles on the duffel (which should be the same length) were two totally different lengths. This time when i reached out the customer service was poor. I recieved a reply about 24 hours later stating that 'the bag meets our high quality standards, have a nice day' I replied i said did you look at the pictures? Clearly the two handles are not the same. It took 2 more emails and 48 hours later and the response was 'I'm sorry you're not happy with it you can send it back at your own expense' No acknowledgement of the defect, just making it my problem to pay for the return shipping as well as blaming me for not being happy with the return. The bags look nice online but the quality (not necessarily the leather, but the construction of the bag is awful

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed — Misleading Product & No Response from Company I ordered a leather bag for $219.99, drawn in by the clean, minimal design shown in the product photos. What I received was not what was advertised. The bag features a large, permanent embossed bull logo — something that was completely hidden from all product photos and not mentioned anywhere in the description. On top of that, the leather finish is noticeably different — it looks cheaper and has a sheen that wasn’t visible in the listings. The product I received feels like a bait-and-switch. I contacted the company multiple times via email and phone to request a refund, and they have completely ignored every message. It's been 20 days and I haven’t heard a single word back from anyone who can authorize a refund. I have received emails and a phone call from Taube who just keeps saying she cannot get in touch with her manager. Whether it’s intentional deception or just terrible customer service, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I’ve now filed a formal dispute with my credit card provider and submitted complaints to the BBB and FTC. Avoid this company. The product doesn’t match the listing, and if you have a problem, don’t expect any support.

Ordered a messenger bag before Christmas but received a similar item as a Christmas gift. Tried to return item only to be told that their policy is store credit only. The item was unopened from the original shipping container. Their website states that "customer satisfaction is our number one goal" which is not true. They don't even have a customer service phone number you can call! When ordering online, it should not be necessary to read all the fine print wen links to feel safe about ordering. This is a very deceptive business practice.

Came from Pakistan and on the customs sheet the value of the Black Moto Jacket was listed at $40 while they charge over $200. Jacket did not fit and then started their return process/gauntlet. Did everything that asked and yet they still won’t complete the refund. It has been over 45 days since return was accepted at their warehouse and still nothing. They state it’s due to being overwhelmed with workload and they finance department keeps dropping the paperwork. Bottom line is still no refund yet they have their product, so has to make a credit card transaction dispute.
