IXL LearningReviews of ixl.com

This app is so frustrating and evil, it doesn't provide educational resources and only gives me a headache every single time I use it!

IXL is so stressful. It doesn’t help much with math, it just stresses students out. Sometimes it marks a correct answer as wrong and then proceeds to give you a completely useless explanation that doesn’t help at all. They could at least make the explanations a bit better so you actually know what you’re doing wrong instead of continuously flaming you for being buns at math 😭 Like once I was stuck on one subject for THREE HOURS. I kept having to come back to it and take breaks because it was sooooooooo infuriating. I was literally bawling my eyes out and having a panic attack 💔 PLEASE do not do this to your students

Come on, you know what this is. Ixl is a rage game disguised as an educational website or app. You will probably split your device in half with a katana or something similar to that because of how frustrating it is. It baffles me that so many schools use it despite how bad it is.

I HATE IXL. IT IS WORSE THAN 67. DRUGS ARE BETTER jk jk

everything

While I understand that the SmartScore is meant to measure actual proficiency (actually kind of accurate), the system is dreadful from the student’s side. (Around the 90-point mark, you get +2 for a correct answer and -10 for an incorrect one.) I got assigned some assignment about line plots and I was trapped in a loop of answering questions for nearly 50 minutes. And I have heard worse stories (over 2 hours) elsewhere! The only reason this review is two stars is because the score system actually kind of works from the teacher’s perspective. Works well for learning if you want to make yourself hate learning in the process. 10/10, would not recommend.

It stinks! we all hate IXL and you guys who work there and your boss know that it is horrible and you never ever should have created this monstrosity of an app!!!

WE ALL HATE IT
