It teaches you nothing and its very repetitive and its learning system is also bad.

IXL does nothing but disengage students. People at my school spent HOURS just trying to complete 1 assignment in IXL for homework and in school. The most annoying part is that when you get a question right your smart score goes up 1-2 point, but if you make one mistake that's -10 points. I once spent SO LONG on 1 assignment (almost 10 hours not all at once) that no matter what grade i'm in or classes i take it takes me there. There has also been occasions where IXL is just wrong. Like say the answer to a question is 5, you say 5, they "incorrect, the answer is 5" and then they dock you 10 points.

I've been in IXL for over 4-5 years and the only thing that helps is nothing, the progress bar only makes is more enraging and a simple mistake can drop my score from 90 to 85, it tells the most obvious reason and after that, it just gives me another more difficult question.

this website may sound good at first to parents who don't know algebra and think it's an easy way to get their kid to learn math, but as a parent of 4, I can tell you that all this caused is my children to get upset, my youngest straight up broke his laptop due to ixl. According to many user reviews this causes high anxiety, and I can concur with these statements. The math is bad, but my child can eventually make it through it, but the language arts section looks like it was designed in someone moldy basement. As a lawyer, anybody who sues IXL would have a pretty good case.

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY TRASH! So I'll tell you my day. My day was perfectly fine. I was happy after going to a great nice lunch. Then, my mom told me to do IXL(ELA). And it made my day turn HORRIBLE! I got 99 and then got an answer wrong and it booted me to 90. can you believe it? I have to do 5 more questions! not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5! QUESTIONS! I could not find a worst website than this. I recommend you. If you buy this, you'll end up getting your kids screaming at you to ban and give it 1 star review.
